Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
Think it should be -£30m for Barca and Madrid personally (or take away Ronaldo + Messi).

thought we where changing Arsneal and Spurs for Valencia and Benfica.
which would be good then we can draw the teams and tehn get the other 2 managers
madird and barca dont need that much cash to be fair

Id rather take out Inter Milan than Arsenal.
Inter have been poor for the last two seasons

How high would you guys rank Falcao?
I've only heard about him since he moved to La Liga and he has been impressive whenever I have seen him.
Career goals - 49
Career matches - 59

Very highly, he's been brilliant for the past two years and especially this season for Athletico Madrid. He will be going to Man City for Dzeko and cash in my opinion
Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
I hope not City.
They already have Tevez and Aguero who both look a top partnership.

Falcao is class, there were doubts earlier in the season that he wasn't a big game player in La Liga as he didn't ever score against quality sides but he then started netting them against the big guns too.

I know kam but I fully expect them to. Giving city a midfield/attack of
Yaya - De Long

Tevez-Falcao-Aguero

I'm happy with the teams, AC Milan perhaps unlikely to not be in there.
Still need two managers!

I think Mancini will be looking for a replacement in the DM position.
Vidal?
That is one scary front line though

Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
Vidal would be a good signing. Also did you see that yaya supposedly wants to go back to Barce. Feel that would really hurt city as he's been one of their best players this season Imo.
There we are then for topic of the day, scariest front line that is likely to occur (I.e. no messi and Ronaldo together as they won't leave Madrid/Barce), personally I think the above is difficult to beat.

Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
I remember Yaya saying that he wants to return to Barca when he initially joined City.
I agree, Yaya has been instrumental for City and has been great offensively which we know he had in his locker.
Anyone heard about the news of Drenthe calling Messi a racist?

I have kam, not too sure Tbh. One this allegation is about 3 years after it happened, two he then goes onto accusing a vast array of Argentines and three Id forgotten who drenthe was before this!
Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
I was thinking the same, why say it now after so long when he could have reported it?
Don't get me wrong, if Messi has said it then it is disgusting

Agreed kam, I'm not defending messi but it looks odd that he has only said it now. Bit of #Imstillrelevanthonest in my opinion!
Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™

We need predos done for the CL final before we can commence next season.

Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
What I'm not sure about with the Messi, Suarez etc thing is whether the use of the term 'negro' is meant as a term of abuse or insult. It simply means black in English, which if used here would be deemed potentially offensive depending on the context in which it is used. I'm not sure how a black player would react here if an opponent spoke to him during a match saying "Hello black". They'd probably take offence assuming it was intended as such. That is how we view such comments here.
Messi doesn't strike me as the sort of person who would be deliberately unpleasant from what you can see on the pitch and read off the pitch. It seems to be acceptable in South America although what is deemed acceptable there may not be deemed so in Europe, well Britain anyway since racism seems to be more tolerated in Spain, Italy and other continental countries.
A difficult one. It doesn't mean Messi, or even Suarez, is necessarily racist by using the term once. It would only be if they continue to use it that any judgement may be made.
Personally I don't know why anyone feels the need to make any reference to a persons colour or appearance.

Let's just hope this issue doesnt come up again.
However, I think the venue for the Euro's may be problematic for this issue

The people that havent voted should be penalised and drawn last in to which teams they can get.

Even though Tevez is a very good player...he was bang out of order with the 'RIP Fergie' banner.
No need for it and has no class whatsoever.

Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
Agreed. I think Fergie will be quietly smiling to himself though. Backhanded compliment and shows that City still have a large chip on their shoulders with respect to Utd. Can only work in Utd's favour.
I'm looking forward to next season already. Should be interesting to see how Utd respond. Hopefully one or two other clubs can be involved as well although I can see it being a 2 horse race again. Arsenal need to keep RvP and make a couple of decent signings. Podolski is a good one potentially but they need to strengthen defence.
Spurs are a top goalscorer short and they need to strengthen defence as well.
Chelsea are still re-building. We need a more pace in the team and to build it around whoever will be our main striker next season. I think it will be Torres but if so, we need to play the type of football which plays to his strengths. We are still set up to play to Drogba's strengths.
Liverpool need a lot. Good front line potentially but too reliant on an aging Gerrard. Defence needs improving too.
Don't see anyone else but who knows after Newcastle's season. I don't see them repeating it though.

Re: Fantasy European League Season 2 Homepage™
I don't think City are to blame to be honest.
It is the actions of one Carlos Tevez that has to be totally blamed for this.
Fergie will be fired up though.

I'd be interested in a return to this Pull, but only after my exams are finished next Tuesday. Understand if that's too long to wait.

Thoughts on how to do the draw? Was gonna do it randomly, but should activity and league position be taken into account?

You could make a list of those most active etc with the higher up the list the earlier you get to pick.
Personally I prefer a random draw.

I think it would be hard for you to factor in activity, although last time if I remember correctly the Barcelona manager was so inactive and that was a nightmare.

Let's do the draw then! I will also let managers choose their sides if the above aren't to their liking.
