Shocking Blackburn Support!
Last night Blackburn were the second club of the season to be relegated. Given their form over the season I wasnt surprised, they have simply not been good enough. But what I found shocking was that in a must win game with the team fighting for its premiership survival the supporters simply would not get behind them! Surely with a team facing a must win game the supporters would get behind them first and foremost and leave any complaints until at lest after the match had finished. There has been a poisonous atmosphere in Ewood Park all season and maybe had the supporters got behind their team rther than turning on them they might possibly have stayed up! Not surprised they were relegated and no sympathy for the fans who must be amongst the worst in England!

Really? So all Blackburn fans were represented by the 16,000 who showed up?
So what about the Liverpool fans who booed their owners and even Hodgson?
I think it is a case of frustration boiling over to the point where the fans do not know how to vent their frustration. Players not playing well. Hopeless manager.

I am a Chelsea supporter and so view the matches involving teams from lower down the league from such a naive position as to render my opinions invalid.
I had similar thoughts a while back when I thought I saw Bolton fans being so ungratious towards Gary Megson, a chap who did help them avoid relegation one season, and I posted as much on a Bolton related thread somewhere.
I can't exactly remember the responses I got but the main things I gathered were that actually a lot of people pay a lot of money to go and support their local team, they dearly love the team and can tell when they see their club gradually go down the pan.
It is worth considering how well managed Blackburn used to be both on and off the pitch, and how it has all dissolved so swiftly.
If I was a Rovers fan I'd be pretty annoyed too.

Re: Shocking Blackburn Support!
Imagine having your team run by owners who when they bought the club didn't realise there was relegation and couldn't be bothered to turn up for the last home game of the season. Add onto that a tactically hopeless manager and a HUGE love for there local club and then you are going to get ugly scenes. They just want there club to be run well again

Re: Shocking Blackburn Support!
I think the letter from the Deputy CEO to the owners proves the extent of the problems at Rovers, they weren't paying the bank at one point and he was afraid of losing his own house since the owners were hidden away in India.
They seem to have bought the club with the belief it was a cash generator and it runs itself, they sacked a very good manager in Allardyce and a Chief Executive that knew the club inside and out and brought in someone from India to run the club with no history of working in football and do it all from India
