I wouldn't if I was him. Our Physio at rugby is from Dublin and supports all the Irish provinces except Ulster who he hates with a passion

Re: Thatchers Cider Aviva Premiership Summer Sevens Tournament
True, by British, I meant to include Ireland though. Really struggled how to write that only 2 'overseas' players. Basically was trying to follow the Prem rules of only 2 'overseas' playing, without having the SA and Islanders loophole

Re: Thatchers Cider Aviva Premiership Summer Sevens Tournament
Haha, was always my intention to follow the normal prem rules, I just couldn't define overseas / british / home nations properly. I felt a bit Nick Griffin when writing the rules, using terms like 'non-british' and 'foreigner'!

Since you've named him in your squad what do you make of Eastmond mate? Have him on the other game but havent seen a lot of him at all. Reckon he will make it?

Re: Thatchers Cider Aviva Premiership Summer Sevens Tournament
Really exciting player, can't wait to see him more next year. Reckon he'll be a permanent fixture in the LV, maybe sneak into some matchday squads as well.
He had a 20 min cameo in a home game at end of season and it was one of the biggest positives of the Bath season! Beat players everytime he touched it, offloaded, pace and step.
Only problem is that (and it's a huge problem in my opinion) is where we will play him? Is in the playmaker mould and would be wasted on the wing in the long term, but he probably isn't a 9 or 10, so is he big enough for 12? Maybe coming into the line at 15 is an option.
Problem is that he came from St Helens injured and off the back of falling out with the club, so not in a great place. Then he picked up a lot of niggles, so missed out on a season of playing A league, which would have really helped.
Think a full pre-season and he looks likely to be challenging for a wing spot. A lot of people in the club want him at 12, but i'm not sure that's wise yet.

Re: Thatchers Cider Aviva Premiership Summer Sevens Tournament
Yeah when he came across that seemed the niggest issue. Not sure hes got the size to play 12 but could do well coming from the wing in the same way JOC has for the aussies in the last few years. Be interesting to see how he goes next year

Wow, good looking Worcs side that! Some pretty useful mobile forwards and awesome backs
My rugby claim to fame is that I tackled Haskell in the final minute to make sure we beat them at Rosslyn Park 7s!

Re: Thatchers Cider Aviva Premiership Summer Sevens Tournament
General tactics in advance- it may be sevens, but breakdowns, especially concerning turnovers, are still vital. The forwards to really support each other there. We will alternate between a SH-FH-C-WG and WG-SH-FH-WG setup depending on who's on the pitch, with Brits or Maurie always running inside the FH to allow a pop and flood on the inside. Mathew Turner is a international with a good scoring ratio in this code so when he's on the aim will be to utilise him as much as possible

Will get squad up later tonight.just want to make sure I pick the right academy players, as apart from Addison I know very little about them.
I've also had a hetic few days with an exam today and family being over.

I still have to do the leg work for the cup I was doing. I'll get it done today/tomorrow and then we can sort it out?

I've sold Fasa, can he play in this before he goes? If not, switch him for Joubert
