Re: Easterby new scarlets coach
saw the rick o'shea tweet......lot of talk about nigel leaving. apparently chief executive of dyfed steel (main sponser) has stated nigel has gone. who knows! we are looking at front row options from france....so campbell johnston from biarritz does make sense. but who has signed him nigel or simon?

I think it will be a HUGE blow for the Scarlets if Davies goes.

Surely Easterby has picked up a few stitches in his career?

He's also just said it's hot gossip, which is nothing new, it's been the gossip for like the last 5 days now.
I won't believe Nigel has left for Gloucester until both Gloucester and the Scarlets confirm it.

Same as Dreamer I'm waiting official news - I mean just look at how many rumours were around that Wellies was going to sign for Leicester, the Blues, LI and a few French teams over the years.
It'll be a huge blow but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Whilst it is seemingly likely Davies is coming to Glaws, I would say the rumour mill certainly seems to be driven from the Scarlets end as there isn't much news coming from Glaws sources.

Why do you say its likely?
And the rumours aren't being driven from the Scarlets end, the region haven't released any sort of statement whatsoever. Think the only thing has been an interview with Phil Bennett, and even that was him just answering questions on what it would be like if Nige left.
This started with the Daily Mail and Telegraph, nowt to do with anything the Scarlets have said

If it came from the club it wouldn't be a rumour. When I say its being driven by the Scarlets end I mean because I've read on various forums Scarlets fans saying they know from a source ranging from an MD to a goldfish that ND has gone, whereas all that is on the Glaws equivalent is that Scarlets are saying this & that, but no sources - hence the rumours being driven by Scarlets.
I say its likely as there is so much talk it starts to become no smoke without fire. Back in April when the same rags were saying Redpath was off I thought it a preposturious notion and look where that ended!
