and all I can say is thank GOD for Floyd Mayweather. That had to be the most boring half hour I can remember. No disrespect to Froch as I am a fan but he has no charisma. He managed to make a sport I personally love boring and dire for the duration of that program. He complains about not having the house hold name status his efforts deserve in England but its partly down to his personality. Some on here blame Hennersy but what could he do with Froch???

I know what you are thinking guys, let his fighting do the talking, and that's fair enough but why not keep you're mouth shut in the first place? Why would anyone want to hear his mother and brother talk for 5 mins about a shed they may have burnt down years ago??????

24/7 with Money is great tv in my opinion. He sells the sport on the back of his character that he does not apologise for. Its well balanced and you get the best of both worlds, Floyds crazy life and his profession. With Froch you get a man who sounds like he just woke up. Again no disrespect but did anyone really enjoy that?

I haven't watched The Froch show yet but PBF isn't exactly full of original and inspirational stuff on 24/7 these days. Its the same thing every fight just with a different opponent across the ring.

- Watch Floyd running and doing the pads
- Watch him throwing around money (he's rich you know..)
- Watch him look lovingly into 50 Cents eyes
- Watch him and his "fiancee" look and act awkward around each other.
- Have the sombre moment where he talks about his dad and then later has a bust up with him
- 43 have tried 43 have failed. Hard work and dedication. Take the test etc..

Rinse and repeat. I still enjoy the show but Floyd's a bit tiresome at this stage. I know Froch has the personality of a plank but PBFs pretty boring for someone who claims to be the saviour of 24/7..

I guess I'm alone in quite liking Froch then? I think he comes across well and seems likeable. Far preferable to the likes of Floyd.

Not at all alone, I also like him, have met him briefly and he come across well. On the other hand I find Floyd's schtick beyond tedious, I can only comment for myself but how much he paid for his watch would struggle to be less interesting to me.

I enjoyed the episode to be honest & like the showtime S6 360 series its seems a lot more real then the glossy 24/7. It seems to have more behind the scenes training & nobody appears to be acting up for the camera or had a media makeover. As for Froch I agree with others here in that he seems a decent enough guy & can't understand all the stick he gets on here, I much prefer his modest & honest persona than the many fake & obnoxious persona's we seem to be seeing so much from famous people these days whether they are sports stars, pop stars or 'celebs'. Anybody have a link for the Bute episode?

no I agree he comes across ok. Not sure Steffan would agree with you

I like him as well. He is pretty intelligent and astute financially by all accounts and that should command respect. There are tons of boxers with far more talent than Froch who end up as broke as a Greek tramp so I, for one, applaud his attitude.

alma, don't worry about Steffan. He is staying over at mine for the v2 meet up and I will rush out and buy a Carl Froch duvet for the spare room.

Mind the windows Tino.

Lets hope Froch will not go down the route of Calzaghe and Hatton by becoming a promoter.

.I am a fan he can go off on one from time to time when talking about himself but he’s a boxer, at least he is not keen on that third person rubbish that most pick up as soon as they hit the US if not sooner.

What I did take from the show is that Bute's stock has risen without fighting anyone of note over the last 18 months, looking at him I can see why very level head and a good team around him and a one fight at a time mentality.

its been made even more clear that he is fresh having missed the SS and looks fast and hungry, I knew all I needed to about Carl and have only seen Bute since Andrade II and then only the rounds and very little on him.

im impressed with both in the lead up to this cant wait for the weekend

Definitely not a Froch fan but agree he comes across well here. Always think McCracken comes across as being really insightful too. Still backing a Bute points win though.

McCracken came over very well indeed.

I agree said in my prediction I have Bute UD, 18 months ago did anyone have him as a serious contender to the top of the SS?

What has he done since to change opinion as I say mine included? Beat an old man better than Froch did and BM but nothing else.

Is it that he is fresher? Or do we retrospectively think it’s the way he dealt with his opposition rather than the quality?

Or am I on my own in thinking that consensus has changed?

Sorry lots of questions i know.....is that ok?

Whilst agreeing with comments that neither are contenders for Charisma of the Year, between them with the honesty and respect shown they have restored some of my faith in the sport following recent/forthcoming events.

Hopefully wrong but I am left with the feeling that Froch looks............ "tired" and missing (for want of a better example) "the eye of the tiger". No critisism given his last 6 - 7 fights during the last few years but I fear that Bute will be too quick on the outside and quite possibly too strong up close?.

Personally I really like Froch. I'd prefer someone who isn't a loudmouth to someone who clearly thinks everything they say is gold dust when infact it's Love sacks.

Froch does look very small in build for a super middle to me. When was the last time he wasn't the naturally smaller guy in the ring? Abraham maybe, then before that...?

Have always been a bit of a fan of how Bute goes about his business. Even if for a few years it was watching him against average enough fighters, he just looks very calculated in the ring. I think his style matches up well against Frochs and as long as he doesn't have another Andrade 1 moment he should win with a bit to spare. Its the Andrade 1 fight and question marks that left that makes this an exciting fight for me. For Froch to win I think he needs to fight at a decent pace and up his intensity a lot sooner than he usually does and before its too late.
