Horse racing in Ireland
Hi there
don't post that much but do enjoy reading the tips and posts from all you guys.
I know most Irish racing fans love Aintree and Cheltenham and also a lot more of English race meetings.
My question is do English racing fans love any of the Irish racing meeting?
Punchestown/Galway/fairyhouse etc and why.
Anyway keep the tips coming as It's a long time since I got the winner of the National.

Re: Horse racing in Ireland
I didn't used to follow it at all but am starting to now - and after the Irish won 13 races at Cheltenham maybe I should do!
I am still kicking myself that after Hurricane Fly beat Solwhit over and over again I didn't back him to win the Champion Hurdle!
I try and keep an eye on the Punchestown festival but I see this year it appears to be on a bit later than usual in May. By then I am into the flat season and will be probably more interested in the Chester meeting.

Was workin in Dublin about ten years ago during the Phoenix Park sales but the company would not let me have the day off to attend, was fuming!

Id love to go to a real grass roots Irish meeting at one of the more rural courses,i adore going racing at places like Hexham,Kelso and Perth over here so id like to sample something similar in the Emerald Isle.Killarney always looks a nice spot on the TV shots
