Re: Masters Betting
I've squirreled away a few small bets over the last month or so and have interests in Fowler, Poulter (sentimental longer shot), Kaymer and Donald. Reckon I'll have another little dabble after round 1

Re: Masters Betting
Good luck with King Louis, I backed him too.
Oosthuizen 125/1
Stenson 175/1
E. Molinari 175/1
are my three bets this week.

Went out to bet Donald, changed my mind & couldn't resist betting Lefty @ 7/1.
His return to form last week & his shot from the trees last year still clear in my head.

I've gone for a 'name who wins the group' accumulator. £14.50 down and if I get the winner in all 6 groups (5 golfers in each group) I get a cool £9,600.00.

Re: Masters Betting
Can not see past Woods this year, and at 10/1 looks a good bet and especially, after the Poulter wind up.

Good luck with that, but it sounds like the most impossible bet I've ever heard !
662/1 but sounds like it should be 662000/1 !

Highly unlikely you'll get the winner out of all 6 groups, BUT if you get even one winner you get your money back and it's not inconceivable to get 2/3 winners.

Only three men have ever defended the Masters. Lefty isn't joining that group.

I cannot see an American winning - not unless it's an outsider

Re: Masters Betting
Bets are now on.
Westy 14/1 win
Kaymer 22/1 e/w
GMac 45/1 e/w
Nothing radical there, just sensible stuff really.
Might still have a punt on an outside winner, possibly Sergio or Scott who are both very attractively priced. Just couldn't bring myself to back a yank, wouldn't be right watching on Sunday night cheering for the opposition!

Re: Masters Betting
All 6 of my players made it through the half-way cut and they are all under par. Alas, I stupidly backed Dustin Johnson to win the group with Mini Mac in However, I've an outside chance my other picks; Adam Scott, Jim Furyk, Poulter, Strick and Westie might beat the opposition which would give me over a £100.00. Knew I should have opted for Mini Mac though I'm going to be sorely peed off tonight if Mini Mac wins and my other 5 come good. However, he's playing fantastically well - the final nine will reveal how strong his nerve is around the greens.....

Re: Masters Betting
All but one of my bets made the cut (Kaymer let me down) but only Luke with any real chance. A stunning round from Poulter or Fowler might just get them into an each way spot but I'm not holding my breath

Re: Masters Betting
Hoping Rory holds on but at 80/1 I have to admit I wouldn't be devastated if Scott surged through. Also got Luke at 16s and Fisher at 150, none of them out of it.

Re: Masters Betting
I picked up £45.00 so I'm nett £30.00 better off with Poulter, Stricker and Scott winning their groups. Was a good bit of fun and no horses were killed either
