Bute's chin and where does he go? - Page 2 Empty Bute's chin and where does he go?

Post by Seanusarrilius Sun 27 May 2012, 6:43 pm

First topic message reminder :

Savage beating he took last night, kind of felt bad for him in hindsight as he is a nice guy and slick boxer.

Can he come back? If so, how? Also, the chin. He took so many hard shots and didn't go down, although he was clearly out on his feet at the end. Is he chinny or is his defence just very poor?

Where now for Bute?

Oh and can I say, Jim Watt was actually ok last night, weird.

Looks like a 26 second count to me as well as being in no condition to fight, Andrade was well and truly screwed.

Andrade knoked him out, he had a 20 second count and when he walked back to his corner he was still out of it. Froch said that he got knocked out properly (on his back) in the amateurs.

He is 32 so doesn't have enough time to redevelope himself. He'll go back to Canada fighting safe fighters and making a lot of money

Andrade did knock him down, but he did it too late, a few seconds left at the most. Bute was on his feet after 9 seconds, so regardless of the barmy count he still won the fight.

A lot of incorrect rubbish has been posted about that.

Not really, the refs actions gave Bute an extra half minute almost to recover aswell as eating up vital seconds from the clock. He basically denied Andrade the chance to finish the job. Bute beat the count, no doubt about that, but the ref only started the count very late after Bute had got to his feet. Not a certainty Andrade would have finished the job in the time remaining but the refs action definately gave Bute a massive help.

Go and you tube and watch the clock. What you have just said is wrong. There were less than 10 seconds left when he hit the deck. It took him 9 seconds to get to his feet.

Yeah you are right actually, there was less time left in the round than I thought. Think the fact the that the ref takes so long to actually administer the count made me think that there was more time left than there was. But he was up at 8 or 9 and that would have been the round over had the ref started counting straight away.

The round being over is largely irrelevant though as he was in no fit condition to carry on fighting.

It doesn't matter there were 3 seonds left when he hit the deck.

The fight was over. All he needed to do was get to his feet to win. He took 9 seconds to do that regardless of the count.

There was a load of anti Canadian guff from the States that was just rubbish. You bunch took it in hook line and sinker. I hope you are take a long look at yourselves.

You cannot be saved by the bell in any round, he was in no fit state to continue fighting so regardless of the bell ringing Andrade should have been the winner by technical knockout.

He wasn't saved by the bell. He was saved by the fact he got to his feet. Andrade didn't knock him out.

YOU ARE WRONG. GET OVER IT!

Getting to your feet doesn't mean a thing, if you are in no fit condition to continue then the fight is over.

Doh The bell can't save you. If your in no condition to continue, you are TKO'd . The fact he needed the top rope to help him back to his corner says it all, and that was after the ref gave him a good few more seconds to recover.

I don't need to use capitals to emphasize my point Laugh

A TKO is designed to prevent the fighter from further damage.

Has any fighter ever who has ended the fight on his feet after the bell lost via a TKO?

Plus I have seen fighters be waved on in worse condition than that.

You lot believe american propaganda. 90% of the you tube videos have no clock on them. Never seen anything like it.
