RDL will be a good signing for Leicester if they can keep him fit. looked promising before we had to send him back to united.

Weren't they favourites last season? Can't see it myself. I can see Fryatt going back to Leicester. Nigel Pearson owns him.

I can't see Fryatt going back to Leicester, they already have Beckford, Nugent, Gallagher and now Vardy. Can't see why they'd want him.
One person who is being rumoured to be leaving Hull for Leicester is Liam Roseinor.

What's the point? He'll be good for at the very most 2 months, probably never. Then throw a strop and leave all costing a fortune in wages.

Saw Barnsley home games once or twice on the Championship show.. with so little fans turning up they will have thought this is a way to draw some back in.Crimey wrote:BARNSLEY Have signed Mido from Zamalere.

Re: Championship Transfers Summer 2012
Danny Murphy has a medical today with Blackburn. Would be a great signing as we are lacking experience in our team, although him and Dunn would need some younger legs to do the running.
Also read we have a £2m bid in for Leon Best, would be pleased with him and Goodwillie up top if it goes through.
Trying to see some positives here!!

LEEDS
Have signed Paul Green fom Derby.
BRIGHTON
Have signed Tomaz Kuszczak from Man Utd.
Dave, new season, new hopes. Think if you get Best, him & Goodwille would get you goals, not sure about Murphey, just because of his age. The young guys in your defence will benefit from a futher year at the club, after playing well a few times last year.

I think it's mental that Fulham have let him go and weird that no other Premier League club have snapped him up. He's been the heartbeat of the Fulham side for a good number of years now and while Dempsey and Dembele pick up the plaudits Murphy has been excellent. I know he's old but I still think he's capable at the highest level.

Indeed word is that we pretty much offered him the same deal he was on a Fulham. Problem was that Fulham wanted to give him a pay cut. Could be a good signing, and will bring some much needed stability to our midfield.
NUFC fans seem to think that Leon Best is a good signing as well, a lot of them have been going on that he is better than Doyle but is very much a confidence player. Rovers have a good history of turning strikers careers (Yakubu, Santa Cruz, McCarthy, Bellamy, etc...) around so hopefully this will be another one! I wouldn't necessarily call it a coup, but as long as we keep most of the squad together, then surely Steve Kean can't screw up that badly and actually get us promoted?
If not i pray we have a crap beginning of the season Kean gets sacked and then we push on with a decent manager.

Nice to see the Venky's spending money. Just some questions.
1. Where has it suddenly come from?
2. Where was it 7 months ago at least?

Parachute payments.
Plus I'm guessing its finally hit home how poorly they ran the club. Now they're a bit desperate to get back. Not hit hard enough to dump Kean though.

But surely they generated more revenue through TV payments and being in the Prem than they are through the Parachute payments?
For me I hope they ain't spending all that money from the payments, not realising they won't get anywhere near the turnover as previous years

Re: Championship Transfers Summer 2012
We never spent the Samba money which was in the region of £12M.
That combined with parachute payments and also getting some hefty wages of our books (Salgado, Grella, Yak, Hoilett ) would have helped.
Plus as above poster says the desperation to win back the fans will mean they will want to show some ambition.
Transfer and some of the links are very positive i.e Gosling and Adrian Silva

Watfords new owners apparently have a verbal agreement with Zola.
Sean Dyche will probably have sympathy from Steve Cotterill who also looks set to be axed by a new ownership.

I think Nuno Gomes could do a job and play his part, I mean we have a young team and with some experienced players set to leave like Robbo alongside who has already left, he could prove very very handy to have around.
May score a few here and there as well!
