Aus Vs Wales; are you nervous or excited?
First topic message reminder :
Big congratulations to Scotland for an ugly win in ugly weather. I would take that over a loss anyday though. When these guys last played each other before today Scotland also won; which made a possessed Australia go in to their following fixture and thrash my Wales in Cardiff: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/welsh/8381131.stm
Hopefully there is not a repeat this saturday and I can't see a 33-12 scoreline to Aus against this Wales team . But the challenge just got a bit tougher for us. I guess Deans will now be lambasted in the Oz press, what will he do? What changes does he makes to the tactics and starting lineup?
I think there is realistic chance for Wales to win the series. If Australia win with all the factors going against them I would be very impressed with Deans and the team.

I would say Wales has a great chance of winning the first test.GavinDragon wrote:ok so our bok brethren say no chance of a white-wash (which i agree with) but a 2-1 victory a possibility in your opinion?
That will put Australia under severe pressure in the second, and they will most likely be nervous starters and Deans will push out every available man he can muster to win that one, from there it depends how Wales pressurise the wallabies.
so yes it is a possiblity, but then you MUST win this coming weekend.

Kamp Staaldraad was a , whats a nice way to put this, radical team building camp designed to make the Boks ready for the world cup. Kinda sorta like Wales going to Poland but instead of Cyro Chambers The Bok staff had other methods of toughening up the team

If Wales play like they did against SA in the world cup we could be in for Exciting times
However, Wales struggled to beat Ireland and England away from home, lost to France,SA and Australia in the last 12 months. Why the optimism?
So I'm nervous.

Jeez Bullsbok, talk about determination!
I'd stick with cryotherapy chambers personally. Are you sure every saffer made it out alive?

I'm not being complacent but I think Wales are psychologically stronger than ever and are able to win tight games whereas Australia are missing two key players and blah blah blah I just think Wales will do it so there

My prediction
Either we win the first decently, lose the second and narrowly scrape the third to win the series
Or, Aus come out all guns blazing - win the first well, beat us in the second by a score and then lose the third narrowly.
A series whitewash seems unlikely, and im hoping this Welsh side has something about it that will prevent a 3 - 0 loss.
