Re: Ireland V All Blacks - Teams Announced and Matchday Thread
Sorry lads haven't been on all day so sorry to barge in here.
Just looking at some people guessing or predicting selections. A few of us discussed this last night but it was a few pages ago and many may not have seen it.
GAVIN DUFFY MUST BE IN THE 22 as he is the only one who can cover 15
WE don't have another 15 in the squad so he has to be on the bench. He covers centre and 15. So if a winger goes off injured we bring on Duffy for said winger but Duffy has to go either to centre or 15 so does Kearney go to wing with Duffy at 15? We can't move BOD out to wing. Cave can't play wing. For that reason, McFadden will start 12.

No! I think Fitzpatrick played well and we would do well to motivate him by rewarding his last game. It would send a good message.
Ross is shaking off an injury and Fitzpatrick also picked up an injury, so it's just a case of who is the fitter of the two.

Of course they do, O'Mahony has bulked up a lot in the past year alone. The thing is, the U20 back row atm (all Leinster guys) are bigger than any back row that Munster has fielded this season in senior rugby. I find that a bit strange, why Munster have left it so late to develop their players physically.
