Best Non Capped International Side
Rules of the Game:-
Select 15 Players plus and additional 8 reserves
You cannot select anyone who has been capped for their country
You cannot select anyone playing outside of the league in their respective country
Residency qualified players are only allowed providing they have served the residency criteria and are infact playing in the league of that country
If they have been selected for this weekends international games they do not qualify despite being uncapped. Example of this would be Beck on the bench for Wales.
Here is mine from a Welsh Perspective:-
1. Phil John (Scarlets)
2. Emyr Phillips (Scarlets)
3. Nathan Buck (Dragons)
4. James Goode (Ospreys)
5. James Down (Blues)
6. James King (Ospreys)
7. Darren Waters (Dragons)
8. Kieran Murphy (Scarlets)
9. Gareth Davies (Scarlets)
10. Jason Tovey (Blues)
11. Richard Fussell (Ospreys)
12. Adam Hughes (Dragons)
13. Cory Allen (Blues)
14. Andy Fenby (Scarlets)
15. Hallam Amos (Dragons)
16. Sam Hobbs (Blues)
17. Jo Rees (Ospreys)
18. Marc Breeze (Blues)
19. Cory Hill (Blues)
20. Andrew Coombs (Dragons)
21. Wayne Evans (Dragons)
22. Mathew Morgan (Ospreys)
23. Dafydd Hewitt (Blues)
Looking at that its about the best non welsh player team available. I'm still in shock Adam Hughes wasn't selected and capped against the Baa Baa's given the season he has had.

I'd have Grey over Spurling, personally, but otherwise that's a decent team

Re: Best Non Capped International Side
Until tomorrow, you could have Joe Marler at 1! And while George Robson is out in SA, he's still uncapped.
On form, if not long term potential, Olly Kohn might be worth a shout at 4. And I would take Tom Williams over Miles Benjamin; not quite as fast, but very good defensively, covers fullback as well, and reads the game brilliantly.

Re: Best Non Capped International Side
True very silly to forget Gray or Youngs.
Poorfour didn't include Marler because of the rules Welshmushroom made.
Yes maybe Robson and Kohn could be in contention too.
I am not a big fan of Tom Williams personally.

Re: Best Non Capped International Side
I think Williams is an extremely good player who is probably just short of a real burst of pace for internationals. I'd have Kohn and Robson in the same ball park (in Robson's case substitute pace for size). Gray or Youngs at hooker I agree.
Ford, Twelvetrees, Lowe looks like a really exciting midfield.
Waldrom at no 8 I think, whatever you think of his qualifying for England. Vunipola looks a handful but has a long way to go yet.

Rob Miller on the bench? Attwood?

Re: Best Non Capped International Side
Has Waldrom not got one England cap to his name yet? I thought he might be ruled out hence I didn't pick him.
Attwood has been capped hence not listed.
Rob Miller's a toss up - would you want him instead of Daly?

I wasn't saying I'd have him instead, just suggesting additional options

Good point bambamwillis. Would probably put May on the bench instead of Daly.

I'm pretty sure Waldrom is still uncapped.

[quotePoorfour]And I would take Tom Williams over Miles Benjamin; not quite as fast, but very good defensively, covers fullback as well, and reads the game brilliantly.[/quote]
Benjamin offers more pace and power in attack and he picks better lines. He works hard in defence and is a good tackler. Williams offers the ability to cover 15 and a better boot but otherwise he isn't quite as good as Benjamin.
I do like Beshocked's side (love the idea of Goode and Wade in the back three) but I have tweaked it slightly:
1. Nick Wood (Gloucester)
2. Jamie George (Saracens)
3. Henry Thomas (Sale)
4. Matt Garvey (London Irish)
5. Christian Day (Saints)
6. Jamie Gibson (London Irish)
7. Matt Kvesic (Worcester)
8. Thomas Waldrom (Leicester)
9. Ben Spencer (Saracens)
10. George Ford (Leicester)
11. Christian Wade (Wasps)
12. Billy Twelvetrees (Leicester)
13. George Lowe (Quins)
14. Miles Benjamin (Worcester)
15. Alex Goode (Saracens)
16. Mako Vunipola (Saracens)
17. Tom Youngs (Leicester)
18. Joe Launchbury (Wasps)
19. Andy Saull (Saracens)
20. Joe Simpson (Wasps)
21. Freddie Burns (Gloucester)
22. Jonny May (Gloucester)

Re: Best Non Capped International Side
Of course he does, he came off the bench in the RWC didn't he. . He would have added the required amount of spark to fit in with my bench as well.
I'll replace him with Sam Harrison (Leicester) then.
