Robert Grabarz for Gold
A new PB of 2.36m in NY! Fantastic result! This guy is now looking like he could medal with a possible Gold. What fantastic progress!
Let's hope that he can pull the rest of them up to his level soon. Very happy with this result.

Agreed. Best performance by far of all the brits this weekend.
Surely he'll be lifted by the London crown to who knows what!

Re: Robert Grabarz for Gold
Last two Olympic High Jump titles have been won with 2.36 - sliver and bronze went to jumps of 2.34.
Grabbarz now knows he has that in the tank when it comes to competing. I'm guessing he's probably cleared that in training To do it in competition leading into London is important. This is big league. The competition will be watching him carefully now

Rudisha did overshadow them to be fair, that man is an absolute beast!! But osagie just seems to be getting better and better. Medal contendar definatley. As for grabbaz, definatley in the mix also, although the high jumps so unpredictable, bad day at the office and you dont even qualify! Ive said it before but i cant wait for the trials.:-)

Yeah. Ruddisha is a beast. Just too good. A legend in his own life-time! I mean, 1:41.74 - Blimey
And agree about the high jump - definitiely unpredictable; a bad day at the office will leave an athelete, and entire nation even, feeling unfulfilled. But I believe we do usually get the better competitors make it through to the final, battling for the medals at the end. Do feel Grabbarz has the fight and determination to be there, in the mix, being counted with the best.
