Ward vs Chavez
So, seems that Chavez will be moving on up to 168 after he fights Lee. Hoping Lee can beat this fraud but unless he KO's him - which is very hard to do at 160 - it isn't happening.
So assuming Junior gets his 145 - 99 scorecard tomorrow, or even a late KO. He will be limboing Martinez on his way to 168.
now, for me, he beats none of the top guys at 168. If AA beats Stieglitz then maybe he has a chance on workrate against him but as for the Dirrells, Froch's, Kesslers and Wards of the division - no hope.
That said - he is a draw, and so far up the WBC's bum he could be mistaken for their G-spot.
I propose a fight that would get me screaming for Ward like I never thought I would - Ward v Chavez at 168 for WBC.
Anyone think this might happen?
Who the hell can Chavez beat at 168 at the highest level, really?
Surely he'll be forced to fight someone live at the weight. Here's hoping it is Ward and we get to see Junior schooled.
They'll go for Pavlik instead, no doubt.

Re: Ward vs Chavez
hello, first time poster long time 606v2er
I could'nt contain myself on reading that chavez is gonna move up to 168, he wont beat anyone of note. Iv never watched him and thought 'he looks good' every fight he looks average against average to poor opposition.
Boxing needed the martinez fight.

Re: Ward vs Chavez
Ward would make Chavez look like a journeyman no way would Arum or his Dad let the fight happen. The WBC will create a belt for him and make sure no one in the top 10 gets anywhere near him.

There's a reason they have ducked him already for going on 18 months,
They know Chavez will get busted up and they're hoping that Martinez gets old overnight
