The article on top 5 wrestling debuts gave me the idea to think of my top 5 wrestling returns and why.

5. HHH After quad injury, what a cheer! good new look too.

4. Austin No Way Out 2003 - loudest pop I have ever heard in wrestling.

3. Shawn Michaels Summerslam 2002 - although he had appeared on Raw before this, to put in that level of performance after 4 years out is unbelievable.

2. Bret Hart 4th January 2010 - after 12 years away and following on from the biggest story in wrestling history, i never thought i'd see the Hitman back in the WWE. Although the comeback could have beendone so much better, this night was truly epic for me and I couldn't believe what I was watching.

1. The Rock 2011 - completely marked out. Thought for sure it was Justin Bieber or some lame actor, the WWE handled this perfectly and the rock looked like he had never been away.

that is my favourite return, the speed he runs down that ramp is insane. Absolutely amazing.

Steve, that's one of my faves!! When he does the Flair strut is priceless!

I just love the build up that Foley gives on the mic about him returning, but not returning alone. The place just erupted when his music hit.

And like you said, the strut is brilliant!

Although I am not Cena's biggest fan, I crazy marked out when he returned in 2008.

Don't know how I forgot that Cena one Steve! That deserves to be in my top 5, I'd probably take out HHHs and put in Cenas at the Rumble. That was such a great swerve by the WWE. Thing is now though that we've come to expect a returning star to win the rumble since this, all during this years RR I was expecting HHH to come out and win, or the Undertaker.

It was an epic return, it was the fact that Hunter was 100% going to win that Rumble. There had been no hints of a Cena return and when his music hit I just couldn't believe it.

To think, just over 3 years ago he was still legitimately a very popular star across all sections of the WWE..... now he's an unintended tweener!

I marked out on the Cena one too even though i don't even like him... the shock on HHH i think sold it really well.

Can't believe I overlooked it, since I am one of the very few Cena fans on 606v2, along with yourself (unless your name is ironic) and Miky. What made it more epic was that it was in MSG, there was the small walkway to the ring and the noise was deafening.

Mau Hardy's return at the time was pretty good with the whole Edge/Lita stuff going on

I have to agree with Brady. I think the Ultimate Warriors return to save Hogan at WM 8 has to be top 5 for me. I was a huge Hogan fan as a kid and i also liked the Warrior too so for him to come and save Hogan when Papa Shango and Sid were beating him down will always be a great moment for me.

wrestlemania 8 TUW return - I love the way the walk to the ring seems like half a mile - the warrior sprints it in about 5 seconds flat!

WORYAH'S return at Wrestlemania 8 was classic, right down to Bobby Heenan's apoplectic commentary and Gorilla Monsoon sounding like a Geordie when he shouted out "CLOOS-LINE!" as WORYAH! attacked Papa Shango.

Not a return as such, but at one of the Rumbles (cant remember which) where Austin had been taking out people for weeks, and had a 'target on his back' - when his music hit, and everyone in the ring stopped brawling to face the entrance ramp - he came through the crowd and cleared the ring - awesome.

Brilliant entrance, used to love that little girl "back from the dead" intro he used to use.

Def the taker return at Judgement Day, and what a match too, with no one really knowing the result until the announcer called it to HHH

Kane in 2002. The only thing I dont like about this one is JR giving it "He's ALL American!" I know it was against the Un-Americans but come on, Kanes a monster and isnt meant to give a Poopie.
