Who Will Win?
Ireland vs New Zealand, 3rd Test: Teams & Build Up
First topic message reminder :
Predict the score of the game. We all know how close the Irish came last week, can they deliver a result to stamp themselves into the history books. Could New Zealand kick it up a gear and get there hat trick. Discuss.

Rodders - it's like watching a car crash...you can't help but stare when you know you shouldn't.

Right Ireland scrum. Lets get some phases going here.
ROG on, Sexton to 13. Trimble to 11.

They just need to put the ball into our half and we cough it up in the backs. It's shocking.

See, that from Ryan after a great break. That sums it up. Horribly unsympathetic pass, support runner isolated and behind play.

These sky commentators are starting to feck me off. Can't help making those needling comments. NZ looks like they have a live feed to the comments as they look very imposing on defence this week. Feel for Wallace who was in Portugal on holiday last week. SBW tries made the difference at the start.

I didn't think that was a yellow... Looks like another terrible result is on the menu, although I guess Ireland can't be held accountable for NZ being on a different level. Oh well, lets hope England get thrashed this afternoon, that should cheer everyone up.

online Cari. Yeah if it's working for me I prefer not to find another one. Gets me fired up.
Yellow card alright for me. Deliberate slap down stopping a try.

He stuck one hand, it's a yellow. If he used 2 he would have gotten away with it. I think he had to give yellow.

Right not a great 1st half from us. No need to panic. Tighten up, attack up the middle, 2 quick scores and its game on.

I think i went through the same thought process.
Not deliberate from first two viewings, then saw the head on shot and certainly looked deliberate.

Wrong call, free kick at most.
Knocked the ball up and made an attempt to catch it before it hit the ground, knock on at most.

Re: Ireland vs New Zealand, 3rd Test: Teams & Build Up
The ABs have been fantastic. Their pack has gone up a few levels in terms of physicality and intensity.
They've slaughtered us at the breakdown and Cane and McCaw have been awesome.
We've been very poor though, too many unforced errors and we've fallen off too many tackles. Line speed has been poor and we've been too slow to the breakdown.

Poitre Refs and the all blacks get to what they want at the breakdown. Not that it would a huge difference i dont think

I find this rule a strange one. If he caught the ball having slapped it with one hand, is it still a penalty? He obviously did it to stop the try, but if he had caught it would it still have been a penalty? One of the quirks of the game for me.

Re: Ireland vs New Zealand, 3rd Test: Teams & Build Up
Kia, I'm probably hating the same commentators for the opposite reason! 4:22 am, back to bed at the 60min mark if this keeps up. Feel terrible about it. Its official, we have never played two top games in a row under Kidney. Even when I rewatched every slam game a few months ago, it was so dull how we played, just not what we can be, not what we are. If mad irishman rage is the tactic and you cant maintain that over more then 2 games, then its not a tactic, its a blip. So we need more suitable tactics to raise our overall average and then summon the madness for the 1-2 games a year we really need it. Deccie is a lovely man, but he should make his own decision and walk after this. He wont though

Poite has been grand. It would literally make no difference, if we got marginal calls. A few have gone our way.

Oh man.
Feel for Wallace who's been sold down the river by Kidney, still getting up to the pace of the game. But he's only our second worst player out there. This is as poor as game as I've ever seen O'Driscoll play. Generally 10-13 look disorganised and are forcing things leading to turnover after turnover after turnover. 6-8 completely absent. Decision making from 9 at times questionable.
So NZ are getting quick ball and A LOT of turnover ball.

Trouble is refs don't often call these. But you can't slap at the ball with one hand.
Yeah it's sad wolfball. Attitude change from NZ at the breakdown. Cane looks impressive. NZ being given too much space in the backs. Wallace shouldn't have started the game. Wrong tactics by Ireland. They needed to be more up in the face of NZ like last week across the park.
