Supporting the LOI, stuff like the Rangers debacle tends to ahppen a lot and the advantage tends to go to a club who were inthe divsion so I say Dunfirmline stay in the SPL

Dundee, Dunfermline were relegated so it would be perceived maybe as unfair to let them stay up. Have a play off, winner takes spot 12.

If Dundee go up, then the only current premier club not affected by the departure of Rangers will be Dundee United (and of course Dundee), sell out derbies guaranteed.

Should be Dundee IMO, Dunfermline were relegated and I don't think they should be rewarded. Play off at least.

I'm from Dundee so want to see them go up. I think it would help out United, St Johnstone and possibly Aberdeen.

As Rangers have been booted out I think it should be a team coming up to replace them (Dundee). Dunfermline were relegated fair and square and it should remain that way.

Want Dundee but think it should be Dunfermline. Think Dunfermline will be "more ready". Yeah, they got relegated but ultimately they paid their taxes. Teams who don't are cheating and should be relegated.
Happy with either though!

if rangers have broken the rules and it isnt a level playing field rangers should have been placed finishing 12th and dunfermline 11th, just my opinion

2 leg play off would be the fairest way i think!!! also would a little bit of excitement to the scottish game!!!

Rangers haven't broken any rules.

Re: Who should be club 12
This has nothing to with Rangers breaking any rules though. This has to do with them folding as a club and losing their membership with the SFA and having to re apply again as a new company.
To answer the question Dunfermline were relegated because they were the worst team in the SPL and should stay relegated.

That doesn't make sense. It has nothing to do with Rangers but it's to do with them folding???
The same argument can be made against Dundee. They didn't win their division so they don't deserve to go up. There's equal reasons for both and I would accept either of them, don't think one is more deserving than the other...

They didn't pay taxes this year. Dunfermline did. Is that fair? JamesLincs: Spot on

Sorry at work so limited as to what I can write.
Someone above mentioned about Rangers and breaking rules. My point is that that Rangers not being in the SPL has nothing to do with them breaking any rules as they would have been in next season. The reason they aren't in as they have went bust as a club and have ceased their league membership with the SFA.
True enough. Maybe just organise a play off and that way football can decide who goes and stays for once this summer.

Get Dundee and Dunfermline to play each other over 2 legs or at Hampden. Seems fair and logical to me. Although it should have been decided weeks ago.

Re: Who should be club 12
It has to be Dundee, Dunfermline finished last, if you expunged Rangers results from the last season Dunfermline would still have finished last, this whole debacle has been a shambles, Dundee returning to the top flight would be one good thing that comes from it, better gates and plus they offer a derby

Hasn't a precedent already been set when Livingston went down to div3? Who went up /or stayed put then?

 unfortunately they did, they refused to pay their PAYE and as a result they went into Administration and after failing to agree a CVA with the Taxman they where formally liquidated
As a newly formed company they had no rights to an SPL place, thus being denied access to it

They didn't submit their accounts which had to be in for March 31st at the latest our else they'd surrender their European privlage, they broke that rule

That's just the tip of the iceberg though, if Rangers FC lose the Big Tax Case which is expected who cheated then? David Murray not Rangers?

Is not playing in Europe that much of a punishment, all it really serves to do is save them a disappointment in Lithuania or Liechtenstein.

Club 12 is Dundee.
Fixtures will surely need to be rearranged as Dundee and Dundee Utd are scheduled to play both at home at the same time 12 times this season...

No financial impact of Rangers demise on United then, at least for 12/13.

Woo, Dundee are up (hopefully). Not only benefits Utd but also Aberdeen and St Johnstone, and arguably the 2 Highland clubs. It's over an hour less on the journey each way.
