Boxing and the need for Education Empty Boxing and the need for Education

Post by Guest Tue 10 Jul 2012, 9:14 am

*Taken from the BBC***
Chisora, who took Klitschko the distance in Munich, made a prediction ahead of his meeting with Haye.

"He's getting knocked out. He says he's going to knock me out in round two but he's going to go down in round seven," he said.

Has anyone told Delboy that if he's already been knocked out in round two then he stands very little chance of his prediction coming true? Surely someone must have told him the difference between two and seven when he was at school.

The fight is under Luxembourg rules Dave, first to three knockouts is the winner.

I'm pretty certain Dereck would of been thinking any half sensible person will know when I say 'but' after Davids prediction it would imply that it isn't gonna happen.

So really wasn't that silly a prediction.

There are plenty of thick graduates I can tell you...

Intelligence and being educated are two different things...

But I do agree with the sentiments of the article....

We know he can't fight and he can't even talk "Smack" properly...

Have to admit I'm surprised at the amount of people on here who think it'll be a good fight!!!

Two complete stinkers........in an irrelevant match...

Like I said though.. being educated and being intelligent are two different things!!

In the 24/7 with Cotto I think its episode 2, Mayweather and his friend are talking about Easter and Floyd says "You know what I don't get about Easter? Rabbits don't even lay eggs, they don't even lay them! Bet y'all never thought about that, huh?" How profound Floyd.

I think this may illustrate Dave's point nicely:

Khan has spoken of his confidence ahead of facing Garcia, something he puts down to a new training regime.

The Bolton-fighter has enlisted the services of strength and conditioning coach Ruben Tabares, who has introduced some unusual practices into Khan's preparations.

"He's made me change to a non-fluoride toothpaste because apparently fluoride is really dangerous, contains rat poison or something and can even kill you," Khan explained.
