V2 Boxing
Some of you will now we stopped the website last year due to various reasons, mainly being I didnt have enough time and that we didn't have enough contributors.
I've now got more time and want to bring the site, and hopefully the podcast, back to life.
Would anybody be interested in contributing to the site or podcast on a regular basis?

Don't know if I need to re-apply but you know I'm always in for that stuff, Hampo.

Re: V2 Boxing
The last time you sent me something we were in the process of stopping the site, personal issues led to time and motivation being very restricted at the time Truss.

I'm more than happy to provide hard hitting, swear word laden interviews. Think of a mixture between Paxman, Ross and Snow and you're about there.

Obviously we wouldn't want swear words or any complete garbage, we managed to make a number of links with promoters before due to being respectful, much to the annoyance of certain posters on here, however it did lead to us attending a number of events, including Wembley.

Re: V2 Boxing
The thing to remember with the interviews is we are a small circulation online forum. We certainly don’t pay anyone for interviews and don’t reach enough people to be a must do interview for anyone in the sport. Given this we rely exclusively on the goodness of promoters and willingness of fighters to engage with their fans to get anyone to take part, as such we have to make an effort to phrase our questions correctly. That does not mean we cannot ask tough questions, but does mean we should give some thought to phrasing them in a polite and respectful manner.

Can I have a 2 - 45 minute slot on the podcast in which I emit a displeasing, high pitched tone?
(It attracts koalas in unreasonable numbers)

Fixed that for you hampo.
I'm joking. I thought you did a great job to get some of the names you did, whilst patiently ignoring all the inflammatory questions put forward by the site's smart arses. Anyway enough about me. Good you 're trying to kick start it again.
Its a bit light on boxing content round here these days.

Re: V2 Boxing
From memory I always used to ask sensible yet hard hitting questions and yet my questions never got posed
Would like to see them back though. My interview technique is too confrontational to be the questioner, and god forbid if I had to interview Amir Khan. Would end up with poor Amir getting knocked out. Again.

Re: V2 Boxing
The podcast interviews were the best thing that was done on V2.
The written QA's seemed a bit wishy washy. The lads chatting amongst themselves has limited appeal unless it gets more entertaining.
Anyway does this mean Owen will be back lugging rocks around on his shoulders for the ungrateful membership.

Owen died for this board and all us degenerate swines can do is ironically mock him? We disgust me.

Re: V2 Boxing
From feedback I've had Strongback the podcasts were found entertaining throughout, and were often linked on other sites. The problem we went through is that half the time I didn't know who was coming on so it made it extremely hard to plan, and when you've spent most nights writing articles due to a lack of support it becomes difficult to get motivated.
Why not offer you help and show us your version of entertaining?

Like I said the interviews were good. I think it is hard to have three or four level headed guys talking on a conference phone/Skype call as it can be a bit dry. It's the reason why panel shows normally have an off the wall type with left field views. Trussy could be your man. Basically you need a WUM.

Truss could fill the same role Dr David Starkey fills on Question Time.

Guys on the back of this would anybody be interested in covering small hall shows for us in their area? Boxing News and Boxrec have recently stopped giving any coverage to these shows and it's important they still get recognised.
