An apology in advance.
I have just seen a sneak preview of the new Exeter Chiefs cup shirt and would like to wholeheartedly apologise on behalf of myself and any other Chiefs fans on this forum.
That is all.
EDIT: Full horror now available to buy from the trading post

Isn't this shirt bought on wholesale from the pink shirt mountain in the Cardiff area?
Quick reprint of the motif and you have the Exeter Blues, sorry chiefs!

From the Blues perspective, 50p per shirt is a winner!

Rob Baxter is going to go ballistic, he has stated very clearly that Chiefs shirts should be black or white. I think Samurai are doing it to wind him up tbh! Two seasons on the trot with a mingin' Cup shirt!

That looks like a copy of some of Stade's jersies. I don't mind some of Stade's stuff, but that looks pretty garish.

i actually don't mind the tribal print and graphic in general. Up to date, looks modern ... All that good work undone by a neon pink that looks more at home in the 1980's discotheque.
Best not show my old man this, he was mulling over picking up season tickets being his local side now with time on his hands for club rugby since retiring

Alastair, probably best not show him, but certainly encourage him to go for the season tickets - the more the merrier at SP, and he'd be made to feel most welcome.AlastairW wrote:i actually don't mind the tribal print and graphic in general. I have no doubt AsLong . He's an old school north London Watford boy so always supported Saracens when he was a kid, but has lived in Dorset now for more years then i care to count and The Chiefs work ethic and general attitude towards grafting your way up has really impressed. With some time to kill and enjoy the game again he's been mulling over an Exeter ticket or 5 for the fun of it.

Re: An apology in advance.
Why is it that clubs feel the need to 'express' themselves artistically with cup shirts? Why wouldn't you want to see your own colours at the highest level? Does my nut in to be honest!

What's that jonny cash song? Something about a man called sue, or something. If you're going to wear pink on the rugby field, be sure to be a big bunch of bullies. Is this the case with the chiefs?

Re: An apology in advance.
The players look well embarassed to be wearing it - it's even worse than the Cardiff Blues one, and that's saying something!
At least us Scarlets fans won't have to look at it as they'll have their home kit on ... unless they force us to look at that monstrosity while wearing our away kit!!!
