What is the best cricketing shot you have ever seen?

For me it has to be the 2005 ashes series, Kevin Piertsen announcing himself on the international stage by lofting Glenn McGrath straight over the pavillion at lords, what a shot.

mine is KP's switch hit for six, it was the first time i had seen it and was a great hit. dilshan's scoop was similar, great batsmen out thinking the bowlers creating unorthadox shots

think the one for me was in the 1985 ashes where botham came in with craig mcdermott bowling

at the time mcdermott was one of the fastest bowlers in the world and had been causing our batsmen all sorts of problems

botham hit the first ball straight back over his head for 6 , then after a 4 and a dot ball , repeated the feat. the look on mcdermott's face was priceless.

For pure cheek, I always think this one is worth a mention. Rampaul bowls at 84 mph, Moggs flips his bat around and scoops it over short third man, genius.
