Never to proud to............HOLD!
What is Roach teaching Khan i wild card? Or is it all Khans fault. The hold is as much a part of boxing as the jab and hook.
There are ways of doing it and in some cases you don't have to be tired or hurt to use it.
When Khan got up after the first knockdown there was 14 seconds left on the clock. Why did he not tie his man up?
Instead he tried to trade. You're clearly hurt but your opponent is not, therefore the advantage would be with him if there was a trade off. Simple boxing 101. Ali used the hold to great effect so did Jack Johnson and Lewis, there is nowt wrong with it.

Re: Never to proud to............HOLD!
Why don't you just make one thread of ALLLLLLLL of the things you noticed about Khan?
Besides, there was 14 seconds left... unless he was wearing a watch or has some strange timer in his head (despite being rattled) it's very unlikely he knew he knew how long was left.
Khan relies on his foot movement. If he leaps in to hold he is at risk of being banged about on the inside (which we did see last night) or the ref breaking them.
Khan didn't have the legs to spoil.

Wait a minute.
If a fighter is hurt and cannot get out of there then he must LEARN to hold. Its LOGIC. Trying to fight your way out is suicide, I don't care how good your legs are your HURT so HOLD.
khan never did it against Madiana, Peterson and now Garcia.

Re: Never to proud to............HOLD!
If Khans legs are gone, he's shaky as hell, what good is it going to be when he exposes himself by getting closer to Garcia?
You see it at the end of the 3rd when he's trying his best to tie up and what happened? he was banged about. He had as much resistance as rubber.
There's nothing wrong with circling away and trying to get your legs in that situation. Granted he needs to tie up on the inside, but last night was different, there wasn't anything he could have done right.

Ring IQ
Circle but find your back against the ropes, tie your man up.
Wait for ref to break you up and move to another spot, do the same thing again until you recover or the bell sounds.

I can bet you that if he held as he did against Maidana, guys like you would be calling for him to be DQ'd. Weren't you one of those who criticised him for holding after Maidana smacked him anyway?

he should have held, or got on his bike, not plant his feet infront of garcia and leave yourself exposed- but as barry mcguigan said its easier said than done when your up against a world champion

I dont think he could move his legs very well. He should have held onto him like he was his lover.
