Haye-Chisora end of round 3
Morning all,
Just wanted to get peoples thoughts on the end of round 3 as it doesn't seem to have been discussed anywhere (apologies if it has and I have missed it). I was at the fight and due to the noise levels didn't hear the bell at the end of the third when Chisora landed the left but assumed from the refs reaction that it was on/after the bell to end the round. It was only when I watched a recording of the fight the next morning I was convinced that the noise the ref thought was the bell was actually the ten second warning buzzer and the Boxnation clock also showed 10 seconds remaining in the round when the ref jumped in.
Although I don't think Haye was seriously hurt, he was stunned enough to stagger and drop his hands and I believe Chisora was ready to pounce and would have had a great chance to land clean on the defenceless Haye...
Did anyone else feel that the round may have been ended prematurely, not that I would blame the ref as it would have been a genuine mistake due to the noise levels in the stadium but could have made a huge difference to the outcome if Chisora could have landed another couple of flush shots following on from the initial left?

I didn't actually realise that.
However, I don't think Chisora had the power to finish Haye off.
Haye looked a little buzzed but not in any serious trouble.
Overall, I thought it was a good performance from Haye, although not really anything different to what we saw him do against Ruiz and Barrett.

Haye was done
Chisora was ready to pounce
This is the biggest controversy in boxing.

Haye was defenceless because he was walking off for the end of the round at that point that Chisora landed the left.
The ref stepped between them, but Del Boy threw three punches after that, the third landing clean as Haye had stopped fighting and was on his way back to the corner.
Nothing more to it than that.

Agreed.
At one point I thought the ref was going to dock a point from Chizza for it.

Did he not then follow him halfway over the ring and give him a little shoulder barge too

Didn't the bell go early?
