Youth scouting

You are the scouting team for Everton and the Ginger Messiah has asked you to identify some up and coming players that may have slipped under the radar of the bigger clubs. He has asked that you provide a report which shortlists 6 players you would recommend to Everton, and then a recommendation of which 3 the club should buy. £15m has been set aside for these purchases.

Moyes would like to point out that Everton are not a rich club who can get £15m easily, so good value players who could quickly challenge for the first team would be looked upon favourably, especially those that could quickly solve some of Everton’s main problem areas.

Please submit your report by 3pm on Friday 20th July

I get the feeling they will want to strengthen up front, at full back (esp. if Baines goes), and on the wings.

CM looks pretty strong and they seem to have four good CBs too.

I think we need to look at the attack, our defence is solid need something on the wing, creative player and an attacking midfielder.

How do we want to do it? Are we going to split it into division's one does Europe, Britain, Americas and rest of the world. We first need to identify what positions we need before scouting.

seems a wise idea since your not going to be around too much you can have Britain as it's easiest and others can help

I think their main weaknesses are right back and attack mid.

I think the first area we should look to improve is left mid. With no Pienaar, there's hardly any pace there and that should be a priority.

We only have 15m to spend so we're going to have to be ridiculously cheapskate about it.

If everyone is happy about their part of the world then come up with 6 players for RB/RW/LW/AM/ST and we're compare at a later point and decide remember to put prices beside their names

Remember that that 15m is for those we recommend we actually buy though, and there are only three of those so there is a bit of leeway.

I'd say we should spend the portion of the kitty on getting a good LW that can go straight into the starting 11. Then a right back. And lastly a striker.

I'd agree but I reckon you were spot on with your original plan to come back with six names each and then discuss them. They don't have to be dirt cheap, but it won't hurt!

Ive asked someone on Twitter who is has good knowledge on Football he mentioned Giorgos Katidis to me. I watched him at the u-19 and was very impressive and had trials at Everton not long ago he is a CM the main man for Greece and wouldn't cost much.

I don't mind taking any continent, what are you guys comfortable with?

Of the strikers I like Rhodes, Niang and Hernandez most I think

The RB's I like Naughton and Montoya (although would he leave Barca or do they want him?)

Wingers I like Hoilett because he is free, and Boudebouz.

I wonder whether left wing is the side that presents the issue though, they have Gueye there, so I prefer to have a winger that can play either side really.
