Keith Thurman - I Like!!!!
Keith Thurman - fought on the undercard of the Broner fight, was originally lined up to face Maidana I believe, looked really good against a step up in Orlando Lora.
With 17KOs in 18 Wins (No losses) I think it's safe to say he can bang, however, what I really liked about him was that he's a banger with a brain. He may not look particularly fluid in his motions but he's clearly ring smart and understands about breaking an opponent down, the importance of going to the body and not putting power into every punch even though you're a banger.
He has a top trainer in Dan Birmingham and apparently at the age of 15 this guy was holding his own against world class boxers like Winky Wright, and here's what Az will love, he's a real personality, I actually liked him instantly, in the HBO interviews before he seemed like a real good guy, but with that something about him.
Looks a good talent, looks as though he could perhaps be outboxed by a slightly slicker boxer but I think the way he looks when he's boxing is slightly deceiving, in the same mould Carl Froch is.

Do you think Max Kellerman ever gets bored of every fighter disregarding his first question and thanking God?
And if there is an omnipitent creator, why would he care who won the fight? Just another yelling, "LOOKAME!!!"
Talented though.

Totally agree, I can't help but roll my eyes when the first line that comes out of the fighters mouth is "First off, I'd like to thank God..."

Many of them are born in rough neighborhoods (or simply "hoods") and are well into alcoholism by the age of six and are turned to the 12 step programme which relies heavily on God.
So it's good they thank God or they'd be back to their infant ways and hittin the bottle hard.

Re: Keith Thurman - I Like!!!!
He'll get sparked soon.
He sits on his punches, plants his feet too often, looked open a number of times.
He's hungry, said he wants the big fights yada yada yada, but he looks very green to me (in an American fighter kinda way).
