Buzzman's Raw 1000 Review Empty Buzzman's Raw 1000 Review

Bit bored and hungry seeing as I'm fasting as it's Ramadan, so thought I'd do a Raw review of my own!

Firstly let me just say that I thought the crowd was great last night and it certainly needed to be. For me the opening segment was well done, semi mark out moment when shawn asks were there ever more of us? Good laugh, would have liked to see road dogg, billy gun and in particular x pac get in on the action a bit more but enjoyed it anyway!

Tbh I just fast forwarded the Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara & Sheamus v. Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler & Alberto Del Rio match, so yeah. Same with brodus clay vs jack swagger.

Not going to lie, I absolutely loved seeing R Truth and Roddy Pipper playing skipping with little jimmy, that guy is a star in the making!

HHH and Trish segment, Trish looked hot! Thats all I've got to say about that.

Now,time to get a bit serious, the unveiling of AJ as the new GM. Hmmm, not to impressed if I'm honest, I only see this being a short term appointment for some reason. Yes she's played the crazy chick role well, but is she cut out for the GM role? I'll wait to see how this pans out but not to optimistic regarding this appointment.

Found the CM Punk, DB and The Rock segment quite enjoyable, thought it set the scene well and Daniel Bryan played his role well. But for me the issue is, despite being a great wrestler, Bryan just doesn't have the look that Punk and the Rock have, he sort of seemed out of place.

The Miz as the new Intercontinental Champion? yeah why not, certainly didn't find Christian to interesting. Would quite like to see a Cody Rhodes feud with the Miz.

Thought the Heyman, Lesnar, HHH + Steph segment was good, Heyman's acceptance after being "rattled" by Steph did seem a little rushed but not paying to much attention to that. Stephanie did look good though, didn't she?!? The brawl was alright but most importantly the intensity was there! Looking forward to the match itself, would make sense for Brock to go over, we'll see though!

Heath Slater v. Lita - At first I thought, really? Their going to have Slater lose clean to Lita (who also looked good! haha) as the big 1000th raw moment? But really liked the way it was done. Love APA, so was good to see them again, they really did look bad ass and what a closeline by JBL!

The whole Charlie Sheen Daniel Bryan tease at Summerslam? I'll reserve judgement on that.

Was good to see The Brothers of Destruction but for some reason I didn't really feel it, it felt almost kind of awkward to me, I'm not sure why! Just like yeah, Undertaker should be here so lets just do this and get it out of the way!

AND Now, it's TIME for the MAIN EVENT!

After The Rock's talk with Cena backstage, I fully expected to see Cena walk out with the title at the end! However I am glad that the WWE followed what I had been saying which is that I would have Punk hold the title until the Royal Rumble at least. The match was good, Big Show looked good when he attacked Cena, saw the Punk heel turn coming when he didn't stop Show and he confirmed that by attacking the Rock at the end! Now a few people have said Punk shouldn't have turned! But in my opinion he needed it! I mean Punk as heel is in one way to put it "epic". Hopefully this way, we can see him produce more edgier promos and enjoy the summer of punk part 2! Also I do feel he had become slightly boring and stale as a face, considering what happened last year. Furthermore it's good that he is being pushed to the top of the pecking order which is where he thoroughly deserves to be!

All in all a good raw, moves things along very nicely! Looking forward to Punk vs Rock, which I hope will happen, but that's still a while off, so will be interesting to see how they utilise him in the meantime. Hope to see a "pipebomb" promo next week, Also expect to see Cena and Show finally put their feud to bed! Hopefully not in the main event of a PPV though!

Its laughable that everyone thinks Punk is being pushed up the pecking order just because he blindsided the Rock, If he had remained face and had got the best of the Rock and what with Cena still lying there.
Punk closing the show with title aloft music playing then that is being pushed on the same level. Not what happened.

Disagree on the crowd, they were good for the DX segment but when Lesnar came out, Rock twice they were pretty poor imo, compared to say a Chicago crowd or the Miami crowd the Raw after Mania.

I'm looking forward to a heel Punk. He was heel when he cut the famous shoot and was massively over with the crowd then. I feel he was getting a bit stale as a face, that's just my opinion. Didn't not enjoy him just compared to when he fought Cena last year when he was still part of nexus he wasn't the same.

The crowd were awful last night

I didn't enjoy Punk as a face, early on it was decent but these last couple of months i never found him interesting. I really like the fact he blindsided the rock last night and look forward to seeing were he goes with this

Maybe the WWE will admit they have undervalued the WWE title and say he turned because he was fed up of playing second fiddle to the likes of Cena and the Rock, when he should be the star of the show as he is the champion and he is the best in the world

Aside from the DX segment, the crowd was beyond a joke.

yeah the crowd were nowhere near the level that a chicago crowd would have been, but they were better than the usual crowd, didn't seem to bad to me, maybe I should take another look.

As a face, he was getting boring! Yes he's been champ for 8 months but has he been at the top? No. By turning heel and taking the rock out on the 1000th Raw which has been hyped for the last few months after not having lost his title to the face of the wwe; John Cena, is that a step up and signs of a a big push? Yes.

The crowd let the show down. It wasnt as good as the raw the night after mania that was amazing simply because of the crowd. Why cant live crowds just create noise and atmosphire! Why watch in silence?

suppose there are allot of kids there who might genuinely not know of brock lesnar is, never mind some of the other legends there last night.

I agree though, when lesnar for instance came out, even me sitting there on my bed at 3:15 in the morning was pumped, brock brings that intensity, even when everyone knew he was returning the raw after mania, that pop gave me goosebumps.
