Would Rangers be welcomed into the Premier League?
Im sure most of you know Rangers financial plight seemingly caused by careless owners abusing the system. But with Rangers being kicked out of the Scottish Premier League would they be welcome at any stage in the English version? Maybe not right away given how depleted their squad has become but if they worked their way back up from Division 3?
Currently Swansea, a Welsh club are in the EPL. Cardiff could potentially join them. Would Rangers (or Celtic) ever be a useful addition or do they carry too much baggage through their trouble making support?
The Scottish League is a bit of a joke and without Rangers is going to be the least competitve league in the world. I can see Rangers and Celtic using this to try and get into the English system and using Swansea and Cardiff as examples of why they should be allowed. But would anyone want them?

No, they can **** off.
Why should a team lose out on promotion, just because Scotland is a wasteland

Ten years ago when they were at they're richest and best Rangers and Celtic tried to get in, they were certainly worthy then but now i don't see it.

The sad thing is I actually agree with that. No one wants the OF: England wouldn't have them and the fans of all non-OF clubs really hate them; not because they beat everyone else but they really do have the lowest form of scum as fans. (most fans, not all before anyone starts)

How about looking it another way? Should Cardiff and Swansea be allowed to play in the English system? If those two were put back into the Welsh leagues it would be a scenario similar to Scotland. Poor standard league dominated by two average teams.

They worked their way up though. If Celtic and Rangers want to start right at the bottom, then fair nuff. Any higher, I say no.

It would almost be worth it for Rangers, especially once (could take many years mind you) they got into the Championship they would sell out 50 000 plus every week and with they're past, look a more attractive proposition than any other Championship side. Making it easier to bring in players to push for promotion.
Going to division three is pointless, they will literally win 10-0 every week considering they will still have 5 or 6 international players against Plumbers and Posties.

that's my view. Also people need to realise that there was no Welsh league when Swansea and Cardiff were established. Being that the two cities had sizeable populations, they didn't have an option but to join the football league, and they were accepted.
Celtic and Rangers are more than welcome to join as long as they start in league 2. Simple.

Rangers are already in Division 3 in Scotland now and they might not be accepted unless they agree to potentially having their trophies stripped during the years they were caught cheating and agreeing a deal with their tv rights. So if they applied to League 2 in England or the Conferance would there be any problem with them starting from that position? Their squad at the moment is too poor to compete in the Premier League in any event. I think if Rangers were accepted then Celtic would have to start from bottom but they would also probably be willing. Its either that or stay in the most pointless league in Europe.

They should start the bottom, like any other team that applies to join the league pyramid

Swansea and Cardiff were both invited to join the English league. The problems with the Scottish league would not bee solved by rangers leaving the Scottish system but their fall from grace may cause the problems in Scottish football to be addressed and resolved.
The Scottish league had historically been strong and only in the last ten years had really badly fallen away. A better TV deal would be a good start but there are also talent issues.
Rangers in England, no and I doubt they'd want it
