What 360 game should i buy

Hi,

Im looking for a new game for the 360 as i have blasted all my current games and i now need my fix.
Im looking for a game with a good long story ( Like Mass Effect series).

A friend from work suggested Skyrim and im gonna get it,but i was looking for advice on games that are similar to this.Any ideas?

Like Skyrim but in a world after a Nuclear War. Really good.

You should get Skyrim.

Maybe check out Dragon Age: Origins. Made by the same company as Mass Effect, similar but set in a Lord of the Rings-esque world.

LA Noire is made by Rockstar like GTA and RDR, not quite as free-roam it's still an excellent game.

Batman Arkham Asylum has a good story, it's not as long as others, but I imagine that it'll be very cheap these days and is a good play.

Im definatly getting Skyrim but i might check out Dragon Age first looked it on wiki and i like the story

Skyrim and Fallout 3 would be my strongest recommendations. I played 150 hours+ on Fallout 3, although I got all the expansion packs as well. I think if you did all the stories with the game you'd get 70 hours out of it easily. The stories are great.

Dragon Age would be a distant third. It's alright, but no where near as good as Mass Effect. It moves a bit slowly and I'm not a massive fan of the combat which is in older style where they show the number of damage and essentially turn based.

The Bioshock games are a must buy, Skyrim and maybe Oblivion as well

I think if you played Skyrim and then went onto Oblivion you'd feel slightly let down though.

Then play Oblivion first....sorted even if you played them the wrong way round they are still two great stand alone games

I've recently rebought Batman AA GOTY edition and AC Robin edition for £40. Well worth the cash as there's hours to lose in both and are great story lines.

Battlefield 3 is probably the best multiplayer war game around. Max Payne 3 was superb. I'm also really enjoying the witcher 2.

I was thinking more of an open world game Pr4wn along the lines of Skyrim/Dragon Age.With the exception of those 2,any ideas?

The witcher 2 is quite open. Not to the extent that skyrim is but it has a very engrossing storyline and many different outcomes to the various decisions you make throughout the.game.

Had a look at The Witcher 2 it looks brilliant, is it a follow on from The Witcher 1 (meaning i need to play that to keep up with the story)

I never played the first one at all but found this one very easy to get into.

Late to the party I know but it has to be skyrim, just put a wee bit of thought into what you want your style to be.

My first game I was a two weapons man and hit my talent ceiling really quickly. I restarted and one handed with shield, get some enchantments going and fights are challenging but doable.

Also got a lot of love for Fallout 3, maybe dramatic but until my character was at a high level I retained wariness for any area I was going into. When you first step out of the vault and realise how big the landscape is is a terrific moment.

Even when I was level 30 (with the DLC), there were still certain areas I was wary to go into. Particularly ones with lots of Albino or Giant Radscorpions.

I made a mistake of keeping the talkative mutant ( Fawkes? ) as a companion and he made everything a wee bit too easy.

I should come clean and say I have a PS3 but had a 360.

I guess you've tried New Vegas?

Yeah couldn't get into New Vegas the same, probably because it kept on crashing after a few hours of play meaning I had to do loads again.

With both Fallout 3 and Skyrim I left the main quest until the end so didn't actually get Fawkes for a long time. Didn't even need him by that time so just left him outside of the Ghoul city, every now and again saving and seeing if I could kill him.

Vegas is a bit buggy on the PS3 also

I've just checked my save data on Fallout3, 83 hours and Level 30, I'm sure I had a couple of the dlc left to do, I might go back to it! What a tube.

Just started Mass Effect 3 I'm not sure if I can bear the weight of humanity on my shoulders

I had 104 hours, level 30 on my main save. Had about 50 hours if you added all the other saves up as well. Fallout 3 took over my life for a few months.

I'm desperate for Mass Effect 3, just every time I get paid, have to spend it on a load of other stuff. Will probably get it in September finally!

I'd played Mass Effect on 360 and completed it twice mainly cause I lost Wrex on the first run through. Got Mass Effect 2 on PS3 and didn't enjoy it that much, I kind of glossed over the dialogue but on Mass Effect 3 I am hoovering everything up.

I read a gaming website called Gamecentral , its on the Metro free paper. Give it a read, they give views down the line and have some pretty knowledgeable readers

Took the plunge and went for Skyrim.Now i just need to wait by the letterbox for the postie

It must have taken me about 70 hours to even start on the stormcloaks / imperial storyline. Then I really got going on the main story.

Slightly envious.

I had a couple of hours on sleeping dogs and it works really pretty well, massive glitch on my first or second fight ( I walked through a wall and couldn't get back through again ) that didn't fill me with confidence but its good. Fighting is pretty satisfying, and the driving is good too. Fairly easy to recommend also.
