Re: Wrestling debate of the week - v2 podcast 14th August
Topics discussed on this weeks show are:
Summerslam Preview/ Raw review
TNA Hardcore Justice
Abraham Washington being fired
Heath Slater
They are on 3 different podcasts/ files, so that if you dont want the TNA PPV spoiled, you can still listen.
Thanks to Chris and Gav for giving up so much of their time last night
Make sure to click the link even if you don't listen as there are two polls I would like to get feedback on for next weeks show.

You should! I think its interesting due to the fact that we gave it to Chris to watch without him ever seeing TNA or any of their talent before. A unbiased review if you will.
you will also miss the discussion where we talk about a repackaging for Devon Dudley

Really good, I think it works better with three people than it did with two and enjoyed the debate.
I'd like to see something where you all disagree though, would be good.

I still think getting different posters involved from week to week is a decent idea (by me last week)

Adam, or what about getting people to email questions/views and then going through some of them quickfire style at the end or something. Then that way you could cover a range of topics not just 1 or 2.

We ask for them on the podcast and the link in the OP has the address to send them to.

Re: Wrestling debate of the week - v2 podcast 14th August
Listening to the tna bit, for the first time actually being able to understand why you Adam like tna instead of wwe and I happen to agree with you, there is no (zip zero) build up, focus, storylines what ever you want to call it, on any of its talent apart from the main event picture. The ppv's are always top heavy they only ever seem to have the 2 world tile matches a star match and a high profile match and in this sundays case is Y2J/Ziggler.
Back 10-12 years ago there was always 6-9 matches promoted and on the card for sometimes up to 2 weeks before the ppv because even the curtain jerker match had a point to it or was built up in a storyline way, and that was before they even had smackdown. Just 2 hours of raw a week and they could build up all that, now they can't even do that with a 3 hour raw and an additional 2 hours of smackdown.

cheers Bret, although my example of using Drew McIntyre was misplaced!
Re: Wrestling debate of the week - v2 podcast 14th August
Slater + Rick Rude = crazy
Slater + Honky Tonk Man = crazy, although I liked the theory and can actually see that happening.
Other then that and over all great job guys
P.S. Chris > Karl Pilkington

Re: Wrestling debate of the week - v2 podcast 14th August
As soon as Gavin mentioned the Honky Tonk Man, I actually thought "Doh! that is such a better comparison"
In all honesty though, I do feel that Slater deserves a run akin to that.

Re: Wrestling debate of the week - v2 podcast 14th August
Had you thought about it for another 30sec I reckon you could of got there
Slater keeping hold of the US tiltle due to fluky roll ups or silly but lucky tatics could really work, but wwe dont have the motivation to build anything interesting or entertaining over a period of time which is a shame.

Re: Wrestling debate of the week - v2 podcast 14th August
Strangely enough Slater has reminded me of the Honky Tonk Man! Maybe they being Honky in as Slater's motivational guru type of role to push him to the level!
Re: Wrestling debate of the week - v2 podcast 14th August
I've listened to the Heath Slater/AW discussion and really enjoyed it.
I agree with Crimey, that you could do with a bit of disagreement, even if it's just one of you playing devil's advocate, because a bit of a debate is more entertaining that a consensus.
I think the closest was one of you saying they didn't like Christian - and I thought "Nice, this might kick off now" but no-one seemed to pick him up on it.
Interesting the comparisons between Heath and Christian, because don't forget that Christian was Slater's mentor on NXT. I could see them as a very good tag team together, in the cocky heel mould.

Also agree that 3 people seems to have a better rapport than 2.
And Crips was fully audible this week too

Listened to the WWE one, thanks for fixing that Adam.
I really enjoyed it after an awkardish start. On the non-disagreement part, I don't mind that actually. I think people should just say what they think rather than playing a certain role. I'm sure as the weeks go on there will be some disagreement which will create good debate.

Thanks for all the feedback again. Out of interest, do people generally prefer the longer multi-part format?

Re: Wrestling debate of the week - v2 podcast 14th August
was great enjoyed the splitting into parts, quite like the idea of a guest speaker each week offers different opinions. and liked the format with 3 people.
Like the idea of aa Q&A session at the end, could be the new Ask the tart
