Some lovely footage. Altho it's said that Rog gets on better with Rafa than he does with Djoko, a veterans' doubles might appeal more to Nole than to Rafa. But who knows?

I believe Nadal has said on a few occasions that he would love to play doubles with Federer.

Now with Nadal sadly unable to play the singles at the US Open Federer as an act of friendship could offer to play the doubles with him instead? Rafa could just stand in the centre of the court hitting topspin forehands left and right (he wouldn't have to move his knees and isn't that what he does most of the time?...) and Roger could dart about hitting everything else (isn't that what he did yesterday in that first set in Cincinnati?..)

It would be sensational...

Thanks for the link, laverfan. I would guess that after a few of those rallies, John and Bjorn are probably thinking, "these shots were easier to execute thirty years ago." They may have won those rallies, but it looks like it took a greater toll on their bodies.

No, for a number of reasons:

a. They'll have megabucks so won't need the money

b. Money apart, they both seem to have way more outside tennis in their lives - the personal/financial clusterf&cks that Borg and Mac made of their lives outside tennis at various times has probably made it more attractive and easier to continue to commit time to the one area of their lives where they are universally liked and respected.

c. There is one slightly fine point - the video is a seniors tour match. The main force of my 'no' is that I don't think we'll see Fed or Nadal traipsing around the seniors tour, but we might see them doing the odd charity exhibition match like Agassi, which I would count as different.

Tennis and anti tennis on the same team is very interesting, id much rather see Federer and Tsonga doubles team.
