History: Licentia was a growing star on the independent circuit, or so he thought. It turned out that he was only viewed as a spot-monkey, the man to keep the fan’s entertained but never to rise to the top. Licentia was always willing to put his body on the line and pull off the most outrageous of stunts in order to get himself over. Licentia was involved in the match of the night almost every evening and his contests grew more and more grueling as time went by, but he grew tired of getting nothing back in return.
During his tenure in APW (Allied Pro-Wrestling) Licentia put over a rising star, Markus Holen, in a brutal hardcore match that saw him dislocate his knee and damage his neck. Licentia was forced to spend six months on the sidelines whilst Holen went on to become the Pro Champion (world credentials). Whilst in rehabilitation, Licentia honed his submission and technical skills in order to demonstrate just how dangerous a competitor he could be on return to the company.
APW officials were not happy with Licentia’s appeal for a different direction and ordered him to retain his “dare-devil” tactics upon return. Although Licentia was once again willing to put his body on the line, he was disgruntled by the lack of respect he was shown.
Eventually, after three months back in the company Licentia got his “token” re-match with Holen. Licentia was once again expected to lay down for his rival after a bloodbath of a contest but he had other ideas. Licentia had pulled many strings in the lockeroom, due to his leadership qualities and ability to manipulate others, and led a full blown revolt in the middle of the event. Licentia and five other members of the roster terrorized the arena and assaulted Markus Holen. Licentia broke all kayfabe and forced Holen to tap out to crossface before delivering a promo that displayed all his emotions for the world to see.
APW terminated Licentia’s contract with imminent effect and his work visa was revoked, leading to him leaving American and returning to Britain. It was then that Licentia was approached by 6WF and the contract negotiations began. Although talks are “advanced” it has been widely reported that Licentia is hesitant to sign on the dotted line until he has assurances that he will treat fairly and respectfully. Licentia has promised 6WF that he will put his body on the line and go further than any other star on their roster, but only if the repayment is correct.
It remains to be seen whether Licentia will appear in a 6WF ring any time soon but if he does, then viewers can be sure that they are about to see a man that will provide more than one talking point.
