Americas Rugby Championship
The International Rugby Board has announced that Rugby Canada will host the IRB Americas Rugby Championship 2012.
The showcase tournament features teams from the top Unions in North and South America and the 2012 edition will see Canada, USA and Uruguay national teams, besides Argentina Jaguars competing for the prestigious prize.
Argentina is the two-time defending champion. This marks the third year the tournament will be held. Designed as an annual competition, it was held in 2009 and 2010, but put on hiatus in 2011 due to the World Cup in New Zealand.
The Championship will be contested in a round-robin format over three match days featuring double-headers with matches at Bear Mountain Stadium in Langford, British Columbia, on October 12, 16 and 20.
Argie fan note: Argentina Jaguars aren't a bad translation from Pumas, Jaguars are an Argentina B or C or maybe D team.

Re: Americas Rugby Championship
Some decent "derby" matches there, the Argentina vs Uruguay and Canada vs Uruguay rivalries go a long way back

Americas F*** Yeah. Good to see the demise of the Churchill Cup sees these teams still competing in something useful.
