Meeting at HQ retains the status quo
Yes, a meeting at HQ yesterday held that the HEC will remain in it's current form for 2 more years at least.
So, do you think it to be a done deal, or will the English pull out?

What does it matter what any of us think? This has been done to death, we might as well wait and see what is decided.

English will be in it but might not be the PRL.
RFU can't afford to be shut out of any new deal. If the RFU/PRL came back in 2018 to join in they might only get 2-3 places.
When the FA clubs were kicked out of Europe for five years it took them another 5+ years to get back to where they once had been. There was also a drop in the national team finishing last in the Euro Finals in 92 and failing to even get to world cup 94 as new players were not use to that higher level.
