Letter from Wallabies to Argentina
October 2012
"Ten years is a long time ... The wait was worth it!"
On behalf of the Wallabies want to thank the UAR, all Argentines and especially the people of Rosario for receiving unprecedented during this our first visit to Argentina in a decade.
Clearly the hard game on the field the Pumas, expresses the passion of all Argentines outside. The warmth of the reception we got deeper and the hospitality we received are memories that we will carry with us forever.
The inclusion of Argentina in The Rugby Championship is very positive and represents a big step in the development of Rugby in Argentina and the world. We see the Pumas continue on the path to success, a path that will lead them to be one of the best teams in the world of international rugby.
From what we have seen in previous matches against Australia, even last night, and the games against the All Blacks and the Springboks, shows that this goal is not that far. Seen as rivals, the future of the Pumas is as exciting as intimidating.
The Australian team will return to Argentina next year. We all look forward to returning!
