Kal Yafai
Wow. This kid looks a terrific prospect. Never seen him fight before but he looks to have a variety of punches and throws then with supreme ease. A natural.

Power in both hands and brilliant speed. He's got a very exciting future.

Re: Kal Yafai
Only had his debut in July and has 4 fights with 3 stoppages and looks a great prospect
At this rate he'll be in the domestic scene by the end of 2013

Re: Kal Yafai
Hearn is saying that he'll have 2 more fights this year. Why can't he push others in this way also. 5 fights in 5 months. That's how to bring them up.
Hearn also said he's good enough to win the GB title. Well, I don't know and wouldn't put him in a title shot of any description yet. Let him learn his trade and fight some Mexican burrito sellers and eastern euro plumbers, then unleash him.

Very impressed. Heavy handed and good shot selection. ;ohnny Nelson just said "he could be the UK version of Roy Jones". Bit of an unneccessary comparison to make.

Yeah, I heard Nelson say that. Talk about hype. He reminds me of Broner more than RJJ. But he is a special talent.

Yeah I'd prefer to see him fight a few more times before making any comparisons and even at that he'll be looking to make his own name. And if he continues like that he'll have very little to worry about!

Re: Kal Yafai
Would be interesting to see how we'll he does vs Booth if he does fight him although I don't like it that booth seems to be the whipping boy atm for rising fighters
Booth has lost his last 5 (Ward, Willie Casey, Kid Galahad, Scott Quigg and Kiko Martinez) but against good level of opposition and is streets ahead of the guys yafai is up against.
Would be a good test but needs a couple longer fights as Booth is still a rugged warrior who will go 12 rounds unless his punch resistance fails or Yafai really hits hard.

I think they're rushing the kid too fast. After Booth, the expectation will be huge because Booth is a name (and nothing else now). Give him a few more binmen, road sweepers and plumbers first to sharpen him up and give him the experience.

Looks a great prospect, who if handled well could go on the dominate his division in years to come. Rare to see such raw power from such a little fella when added to his speed he will be a real threat to anyone.

Anyone who hasn't noticed I have managed to snag a Question & Answer session with him. There is a thread for it so if anyone has any questions they would like me to put forward just go jot them down on the 'Q & A Kal Yafai' thread.
He is a very bright prospect and seems to have genuine power. Reminds me a little of Nas in that aspect. His body shot looks to be a genuine threat and I love the way he throws the uppercut, so short and sharp.

Re: Kal Yafai
Certainly a touch of the Naz about him power wise but seems like a far more likeable and grounded young lad. Hope he goes all the way.

Robbie Turley is the chap that fought Frampton about a year ago Az. Very awkward, tough and difficult to look good against.

Should be a good learning fight for him.

Agree with most of the above, looks like a terrific prospect and mature beyond his years.
Sometimes, you want fighters to be slowly eased in, but i think this lad's skillset's well ahead of the fighters he's being put in with already.
I'd expect him to be in with someone like Ashley Sexton or Josh Wale by this time next year, and longer-term there's scope for some cracking domestic fights nearer the top of the division (Hall, McDonnell, etc).

Spread out the dates a bit, but the fact that Matchrooms stable is growing he is able to.
