TNA - Looking for a 'Network Rep'
The word is that TNA wanted Mick Foley to be the 'Network Representative' who keeps on screwing with Immortal. These plans appear to have hit a snag with conflicting reports as to why.
One story has it that Foley has refused to sign a new contract with TNA, saying he doesn't see why he would re-sign with the company.
The other scenario is simply that Foley isn't happy with the creative aspect of things and as a result has turned down the role of 'Network Representative'.
There is now a worry that TNA don't have anyone who would be a major shock for the role and who could play it for an extended period of time.
What do you make of this?

Good. Foley should not be involved with TNA imo, he deserves better, harsh but true.
I respect Foley alot so i think he needs to either relax or be randomly involved with WWE, the fans would remember him too.

Typical TNA booking. They come up with an idea and have no idea what to do with it. They think they have a brilliant idea whereas others just see it for what it is...
RAW GM > The Network
Another blatant attempt to copy the WWE. And a poor one at that. Nobody will care who the rep is, nobody cares who the Network is. I bet Heyman is looking at this and thanking his lucky stars he's stayed away.

You'd think they would have learnt from the Main Event Mafia fiasco from earlier this year to actually have an endgame to an angle.
How does that saying go; Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it?

to be fair though, they have copied it exactly - WWE have no idea who the RAW GM is either!

Re: TNA - Looking for a 'Network Rep'
Mick Foley needs to stay well clear of TNA, glad he turned it down. We all know that the 'Network' is going to be Dixie Carter or a Bischoff screw job. He seemed a little unclear when he spoke about the 'Network' last night or was that just me?

He stumbled upon RVD's stash, don't worry about it.

Re: TNA - Looking for a 'Network Rep'
TNA are running a competition right now to fly someone over for a PPV....maybe part of the deal is that you have to be the Network Rep!

If you win i get to be The Rep. I promise my first act will be to book Hogan in an in ring segment with Brother Love and Dude Love and watch the carnage unfold...

Only because you are such a TNA mark...
Re: TNA - Looking for a 'Network Rep'
Whatever they decide it'll turn out to be really bad and make no sense whatsoever, so it'll be Jeff Hardy.
Actually a whacked out Jeff Hardy as Network Rep would be pretty damn good.
"Too-nat, in that very giant marshmallow, it's gon' be the Ultimate Wohreeur versus Peepy La Fritz for the heavylightcruiserweight champeenship of the........I thank one of ma feet is biggur than thee othur.......naw wait that ain't ma foot! Re: TNA - Looking for a 'Network Rep'
Ah, that was my second thought Y2. Jeff hardy then stole whilst cycling through the arena. Flair then chased him, stripping I'm the process. That was a deleted scene btw.
I reckon it will be David Arquette. He is a former world champion after all.

A Shark Boy and Curryman partnership running the network would be great. Throw Super Eric in as a consultant and you've got all kinds of win!

I'm putting money on it now being Nick and Brooke Hogan and they end up rehashing the WWF Father v kids storyline purely to get Hogan Knows Best back on tv.

- this week we saw WWE pull a blatant ripoff of one of the best story lines in TNA why was the storyline in TNA so good because it was a storyline in the women's division in TNA and made perfect sense as women can be so bitchy about their looks. I am of course talking about the beautiful people's paper bags beat and ugly knockout and put a paper bag over her head in the women's division it worked. Now we have Cody Rhodes doing exactly e same he's a fool lazy booking by the WWE. So it's not only TNA who recycle

Imagine if Mick Foley became the Raw GM!
That would really be a slap in the face for TNA!

Maybe Foley turned it down, and will instead be becoming the Raw GM?

Re: TNA - Looking for a 'Network Rep'
I'd like to see Foley back in the WWE but I'm not sure I'd have him as the mystery RAW GM. I think he'd be better as the guy who's brought in to eventually oppose the GM so we have the dynamic of a heel GM and his babyface counterpart.
Failing that, he really seemed to be coming along as a colour commentator when he last left the WWE. Maybe if Vince could be persuaded to tone down the verbal beatings through the headsets he'd consider doing it again?

Wasn't that done by TNA about 2 years ago?

It's not the 2 year rule though KB, it's the 7 year rule.
Just ask Jim Cornette, he'll tell you all about it.
