A bit of a whinge
Why have two games on at the same time? I want to see England and Wales playing live - it's just not the same when it's recorded.
Good. Feel better now.

Put on the two games and command one eye and ear to watch England and the other eye and ear to watch the Welsh.

Wasn't long ago that all the home nations games were two thirty on a Saturday afternoon.
You'll have to take your pick I guess..! I know which I'd prefer.

I agree, it is shortsighted from the broadcasters to do that.
When you consider how much money they pay for a test match it is simply stupid to schedule them all at the same time.

As someone who pays to go and watch matches live - I am sick and tired of being messed around by TV schedules. But no-one really cares about us.

Yeah Fly - I think my mania is back along with my mojo. Spent many months off this site recharging as it gets a bit dour on here - Hopefully by now you get my attempts at humour, many don't, shame really, they're missing out on so much

I always got your 'attempts' Ruby... it's just the humour I missed!'
No seriously, I think I've always got where you've come from...as it's quite similar to my own. Plus,yes...this place does drag the creativity out of you after a time and you need a recharge away from it. I had one over the summer but I think I'm in need now of another! My batteries don't last as long as they used to.

As my old man always says "if you can't take a joke you shouldn't of joined". I enjoy the banter - and Ruby supplies good banter.
You have to be a little partisan or what is the point? Some take it to extremes, and I try not to go that far (not always successfully).
I come on the forums to see other points of view. Many - and probably most posters are more knowledgeable than I am. I learn a lot! Ruby is one of the posters I enjoy reading.
The pi$$ taking git.

Stop being so selfish England and Wales and play Fiji and Argentina at the same ground. Make the field into the square with goalposts on all four sides but don't tell the teams which one they're aiming for. Let the scoreboard be their guide. I'd pay money to see that.

Yeah, it'd be a cracking game, kia. But not in the way you might imagine, as I assume pretty damn quickly even the Fiji and Argentinian players would be consigned to spectators as the red blood and white bandages battered themselves silly in the middle of the square, far far away from any of the four trylines!

It'd only be mirroring what was happening up in the stands so nobody would really notice.

It's always delayed, even by satellite relay. If you accept the viewing time is L+T then does it matter if T=2 seconds or 2 hours?
Record one, watch the other and pretend in your heart of hearts that they're both live.
Then put the remote and your modem in the freezer when you start the first game so you can't check the result.
They thaw nicely.

As long as they don't mention the game or result of the game you are recording when watching the live game.

Re: A bit of a whinge
in that scenario...record both games then for future watching and don't ever watch either of those recordings! That'll mean you won't have to pick one over the other and neither will one game ever give the game away on the other game.......
...................... and instead just have an afternoon sleep and then tune into what will be the best game of the day, which starts at 5.30.....

If things are going to plan for England at half-time I might switch over to watch Argentina beat Wales...

Also if your team is losing by 40 points with 5 minutes to go, you can delete the recording and stay in bed for 4 weeks and just pretend they made an amazing come back and won.
I swear when I visited Invercargil I met a man who hadn't read or watched news in 11 years who maintained fervently that Lomu scored 4 tries in the last 2 minutes of the 1999 RWC semi final when NZ beat France and went on to claim their 2nd RWC title.
