Re: Imagine if...... (part 2)
It would depend on the nature of the Victory.
Should Scotland cut loose and shred the NZ defence by scoring 4 tries with Visser getting a brace it could very well pave the way for Scottish dominence of NH rugby and finally Scotland emerging from being the annual dark horse to be genuine contenders for the 6N crown.
Should Scotland sneak a win via a penalty or drop goal I would be extatic but also mindful that we have beaten the Ozzies and the Boks in similar circumstances and always failed to build on that momentum.
I would savour the victory but brace myself for the bump back down to earth.

Even if we won by dropping tonnes of Tunnuck' caramel wafers from a great height on their heads - I would celebrate until my balls dropped
This game is never about building momentum - -it is about the impossible dream, washing up on the shore of unlikely and fish slapping the face of sense

If Scotland won I'd advocate that rugby, as a sport, is retired in Scotland so we could end on a high
I'm normally pushing for optimism and the chance that we could just do it. But not this time. Too many injuries. Too many players not in form. Too much AB power and skill I think!

Well to be fair, Scotland don't necessarily have to score four tries.
In theory they must score one more than NZ, so stop them from scoring tries, then you only need to score one.

It would probably be one of the greatest shocks in international rugby of all time - I'm not holding my breath.

I would probably die of shock should we overcome NZ on Sunday.

Well depeding on whether you have a few drinks while watching the match, you might only die of shcok the follwing morning after huge celebrations and only realising the importance of the result the next morning.RuggerRadge2611 wrote:Biltong wrote:Doubt anyone would hold their breath until that eventuates, they'll DIE.
