AI Banana Skin
Well Biltong has his prediction thread for the AI series. But usually along the way there is an upset and a game goes against the run of play so to speak. So who is brave enough to predict when and where that happens? Will it be a team beating the ABs for the first time or the first time in ages, will it be a Pacific Island team causing a big stir, will it be a top NH side undoing a top SH side?
Your chance for glory awaits...
For what it's worth, my prediction is Wales finally defeat Australia after many close attempts.

Re: AI Banana Skin
There is a chance that SA could beat Ireland today, a small chance but worthy of an upset. Could be Irelands Banana skin
In all seriousness, i believe that the closest match this weekend will be Wales v Argentina. Argentina may have enough to beat the Welsh, i hope not but there is a big chance.

It doesn't have to be today. You can choose any game this autumn. There are plenty of intriguing battles today though it's true and plenty of potential for banana skins.

I have a feeling that England will beat either Australia or SA to be honest and either of those would be huge scalps.
I have a very funny feeling about Scotland v NZ tomorrow as well

That is funny eirebilly.
In all seriousness, I'm always nervous when our unbeaten record is at risk.

Re: AI Banana Skin
The thing is....is it fair that Wales getting beat off Argentina is a wobbly though. Argentina are in the Championship and gave a damn good account of themselves...they hit 3rd in the 07 (i think) World Cup and have an excellent team. I dont think we can call them a "small" side now.
Aside from that not really any stand outs for me.
Samoa look like a strong squad...but i cant see them worrying Wales or France...
SO...and im sorry if i upset the Scots fans here....my upset...
Scotland v Tonga.
Tonga have some serious players in that pack...and if they get at Scotland early (like they did france in the WC)...it could be a long afternoon for Scotland.

Re: AI Banana Skin
Well Wales are at home and won their last 3 games against Argentina Geordie so it'd be fair to say they were favourites before today. Yet it's true it's not a great shock that Argentina won today. They are battle hardened from the RC and this was Wales' first hit out since Australia. So banana skin points went begging today but in a weird way, I think my prediction of a Wales victory against Australia could still happen.
Well done Pumas and good to see them really part of international rugby.

Good call Billy.
I tipped Argentina on Biltong's thread... but Wales in SportsBru.
What was the final score in the Italy-Tonga match anyone?

Re: AI Banana Skin
Certainly agree on that point Geordie. They tend to base Argentina on their rugby wilderness years when they were very much like the Pacific Island teams coming together for one-off matches here and there and without regular meaningful competition to build their team and tactics.
Sorry billy but may win is not a genuine pick. We need ... will win to get real glory.
