France vs Argentina
Being played in Lille, will provide coverage if I can find anything.
France: 15 Brice Dulin, 14 Wesley Fofana, 13 Florian Fritz, 12 Maxime Mermoz, 11 Vincent Clerc, 10 Fredrick Michalak, 9 Maxime Machaneud, 8 Louis Picamoles, 7 Fulgence Quedraogo, 6 Yannick Nyanga, 5 Yoann Maestri, 4 Pascal Pape, 3 Nicolas Mas, 2 Dimitri Szarzewski, 1 Yannick Forestier. Replacements: Benjamin Kayser, Tomas Domingo, Vincent Debate, Jose Suta, Damien Chouly, Morgan Parra, Francois Trinh-duc, Yoann Huget.
Argentina:15 Lucas Amorosino, 14 Horciao Agulla, 13 Gonzalo Tiesi, 12 Marcelo Bosch, 11 Juan Imhoff, 10 Nicolas Sanchez, 9 Martin Landajo, 8 Leonardo Senatore, 7 Juan Manuel Leguizamon, 6 Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe, 5 Julio Farias Cabello, 4 Manuel Carizza, 3 Juan Figallo, 2 Eusebio Guinazo, 1 Marcus Ayerza. Replacements: Augustin Creevy, Nahuel Lobo, Francisco Gomez Kodela, Tomas Vallejos Cinalli, Tomas de la Vega, Tomas Cubelli, Gonzalo Camacho, Joaquin Tuculet.
So now here's Argentina real test (as the Wales test didn't count much). They're up against a team that can negate their play but also has the firepower behind.

Argentina lining up a penalty.
And it's over. 13-3. France don't know what's hit them.

Re: France vs Argentina
Absolutely stunning response by the French. An ensemble piece of attacking play ending on the left winger, Clerc, who dances down the touchline, moves infield and is tackled but the supporting players move the ball through the hands and eventually go over.
Great stuff. Best match so far of the weekend. Both sides out to play.

And another brilliant break and a beautiful dink through puts the French winger, Clerc, in space again as he picks up on the bounce and under the posts.
Lovely play.

Re: France vs Argentina
What a try!
In the Argentine 22, the French 6. Nyanga, bursts from the base of the ruck, and powers towards the line, and goes over with two players hanging off him.
France have definitely turned up.
24-13.

Re: France vs Argentina
i said already on this forum that France have become the new SA as NZ's rivals to the #1 spot. I was dismissed then, but believe me I am right.

Could be. They all look the same to me. Although the Argies have stripes which helps.

Re: France vs Argentina
Pot Hale, it's Nyanga, not Maestri .
Incredibly running game all along . The effective playing time is very high . The Argentinian try came from a brilliant inspiration and vision, the first French try started in their 22, all hand-made .
Very pleasant to watch, thanks to both teams until now .

Oh right... Was hoping it would be SA. Be weary of those south sea islanders again . It'll be interesting to see how both teams compare in the physicslity department. Samoa were possessed last night.

Re: France vs Argentina
Thought France would be stronger. However, Argentina havnt just come through 6 tough RC matches and a late revival against Wales to not compete in this second half. I think theyll do that and France had BETTER be weary. Argie are not finished yet.

WOW I know the pitch has been called a bit ropy recently but that is nuts, it makes the MS look top notch!

Blokes out with gardening tools from my shed trying to fix the pitch. How did they manage to nick them?

I had a good stream earlier after my third pint. Bit of a personal question I would have thought. Still you get all sorts on 606.

Do you think this game is so entertaining and flowing because Steve Walsh is such a great ref?

Re: France vs Argentina
Score : 27-19 . The pitch will be totally replaced after this game . It was its last game tonight .
The game is slower in the second half . They all look exhausted . This young Machenaud did too many mistakes . Parra in .

Re: France vs Argentina
Another penno to Argentina - offside maybe?
Sanchez readies his boot. Lots of traditional French booing and whistles doesn't prevent it going over.
27-19.
France have lost their way somewhat. And Argentina have tightened up their defence.
