Carter injury -- CONFIRMED
"Hansen will assess Carter over the next 24 hours to make a decision on whether he plays, though that appears unlikely. "

How do people interpret that quote? Anyone heard any more news about Carter's injury status?

RubyGuby, His presence improves the ABS (as his absence at the WC showed). Cruden is a tremendous player though, and the heir-apparent.

RubyGuby, Indeed they do. Are you thinking of Ospreylian? Haven't seen a post from him in ages!

Re: Carter injury -- CONFIRMED
I do think the loss of Carter will have an impact. The only problem is I think the impact will be they may only beat Wales by 30 points now and not 50+.

If Carter doesn't play, it will give Wales a little psychological lift. However, we're not suddenly going to be favourites.

Re: Carter injury -- CONFIRMED
"However, we're not suddenly going to be favourites." -- I doubt we will ever be favourites (in my lifetime at least -- hasn't happened yet). We weren't favourites in 78 -- a truly great Welsh team -- but we were robbed of a win.

This is terrible news!
How embarrassing will losing by 80 be WITHOUT Dan Carter.

Ireland shipped 60. It was one of the most pathetic performances of all time, but they're still playing.

Re: Carter injury -- CONFIRMED
Annoying it doesn't say how long he's out for or what the injury is to his ankle. But won't be playing against England either I imagine. I hope Barrett's ribs are ok by then because I'd like to see him play at flyhalf this tour.
Big game for Cruden so hope he plays well. Real shame as Carter looked sharp against Scotland and I hadn't seen him running or stepping that well for a while in black. The guy hopefully gets a big break over summer to recover properly. Hopefully more to see from him in 2013. Lucky for some...

if Wales are 50-0 up by 60 mins and NZ have 13 sin bins then we may have a chance.

Is this for real? Being cynical, they have left the door open, haven't they?
