***Saturday Tipping Competition - April 23rd***

Hi All,
Welcome to this weekends Saturday Tipping Competition. This Saturdays racing has a very much end of term feeling to it with the feature race, The Bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown lacking somewhat in quality even if there are 18 runners to try and find the winner from. The mixed NH & Flat card at Sandown is the traditional end of season affair and we also have a couple of handicaps from Newbury thrown in. Rather than stick with the six televised races this week, we'll go with the six races that make up the Scoop 6 - The win fund is likely to hit Half a Million pounds so i thought it would be fun to see how close each of us can get. The first five races are shown on Channel Four, the final leg is at Musselburgh. As always, you'll need to select a Nap & Next Best amd you can nominate your selections to be either Win or Each Way. The links to all the cards are at the bottom of the page -

The Races

Sandown - 2.05, 2.35 & 3.10
Haydock - 2.20 & 3.20
Musselburgh - 3.40

The Rules

You must pick Six selections, One from each of the nominated races.
You can nominate your selection to be Win or Each Way
You must nominate a NAP which you will have 4 Points to stake on (4pts Win or 2pts ew)
You must nominate a NEXT BEST which you will have 3 Points to stake on (3pts Win or 1.5pts ew)
Your remaining four selections you will have 2 Points to stake (2pts Win or 1pt ew)
All returns will be settled at bookmakers standard terms to returned SP odds
Any Non Runners can be ammended prior to the first race going off. Any subsequent Non Runner, your stake will go on the race favourite.
The winner will be the person with the most points after the final race.

Last week winners were hard to find for most of us, although Racingnut was on fire and won the weekly crown with a massive winning points total. Can anybody knock our champion off his perch .... Let the battle commence.

Sorry i missed this weeks comp,went away for the weekend.Some decent shouts by the look of what got put up.Old Poker even managed to get his napper in front,hes a real enigma,the original trying non trier!

Apologies for not posting the results from Saturdays comp earlier .... Been too busy eating easter eggs !!!!

Another cracking contest with everyone scoring decent points (apart from one idiot who couldn't pick the winner in a 'Walk Over'), and it was neck and neck at the top of the leaderboard and by that fact that Swansea's Nap carried all 4 Points to win on Poker De Sivola, and Solerina split her NB stake each way means that this weeks champ is Swansea with a cracking points total. Solerina must have had the 'crystal ball' out again as none of us saw Chaninbar starting, let alone running so well in a narrow defeat in what was one of the best races i've seen for a long time, so congrats to Swansea and very unlucky Solerina.

Congrats Swansea!

I just had a feeling about Chaninbar and having a new jockey swayed it for me.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Frankel running again : )

Same time next week then......tho' it's another bloomin' Bank Holiday weekend....maybe we should run the comp on 606 too...get a few more entries....waddya think?
