Rees v Murray OFF Empty Rees v Murray OFF

Matchroom have just announced its off due to Murray failing a medical with BBBoC.

Crying or Very sad

Looking forward to this one, wonder in what way Murray failed? He did take an almighty beating off Rios. Joe Gallagher should have pulled him out about 3/4 rounds earlier.

Gutted as it had the potential to be a barnstormer and with Rees blowing hot and cold recently it was a 50/50 fight imo

Still a very good card but you have to feel for Murray. He took an almighty beating from Rios but was stopped on his feet so you have to wonder how bad he really is. Murray marks up badly but if he isn't allowed to fight than how was Hatton allowed to.

Is he injured or is it long standing damage that could force him to retire

Ricky Burns vs Rees? I know burns has no one to fight in December since Liam Walsh pulled out.

Matchroom and Frank doing business?! Would like to see it but highly unlikely. Burns being Fwanks new cash cow and all

Rees and Murray was Frank and Mathroom doing business, Soldier

Rees v Burns is a logical fight. Rees was a sudo belt holder before and has only lost to the very capable Kotelnik, so why not?

Wouldn't be a bad fight that one, certainly a lot better opponent than Walsh.

I saw Murray in Darlington on the 16th (he worked Stuey Hall's corner) and he was sporting a massive black eye. Hopefully it's a fracture of some sort and not something more serious.

I didn't know Murray was under Frank! But I think Frank has seen him as fodder after Mitchell and Rios. Would he want to risk Burns?

Hearn now wants to put Rees in with WBA champ Richard Abril early next year, so Burns v Rees seems dead in the water.

I hope Burns doesn't end up doing a Clev...

Man Abril would be a seriously tough fight for Rees, he neutralised a smaller fighter (stronger and more skilled) in Rios with ease. As a Rees fan I hope that's because Rios was weight drained, but I don't think so.

Abril is a stylistic nightmare for him.
