HAIR PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL XV
I know there are some impressive contenders out there for hair products XV.
We all have our favourites, but I'll kick it off with a few of mine.
And we will be needing backups and a bench, so feel free to add in your own favourites.
Here we go for a starter:
1. Marler (Quins) Ref magnet hairdo, 'nuff said. Backup : Duncan Jones
2. Polota Nau (Waratahs) a Hooker's Afro, although we would not say that to his face.
Szarzewski
Keith Wood - Oreal's nightmare, the champion for low maintenance headstyle
3. Adam Jones ('spreys) Perm spray to dai for.
4. Richie Gray (Scotland) Bottle Blond Braveheart advertising feature.
5. Mauritz Botha (Sarries) 'English' Bokke, only in the team for his hair.
6. Josh Strauss (Glasgow) rough Bokke who laughs in the face of Gillette.
7. Jonathan Poff (London Wasps) black maned Kiwi.
So much hair he has to nick his team mates' shampoo in the team showers.
8. Chabal Le Cavion (sp?) Never discovered 'barber', since leaving the cave,
Radike Samo - honourable mention
9. Robson (Glaws) Brylcreem's poster boy.
Magnificant quiff, with brilliant hold for at least first 50 minutes.
Danny Care (Careful with that razor Danny)
10. Sir Jonny Wilkinson - gone native. Hairstyle increasingly in homage to Chabal.
11. Robinson, Harry. Boy band looks allegedly.
12. Henson (LW) still a shimmer there somewhere
13. Strettle (Sarries) more visible fringing than Richie McCaw.
14. Tom Biggs (Barf) hair like he just jumped out the Barf. Plus see 3. Jones.
15. Percy Montgomery (by popular demand - of one, no, two posters)
In no particular order, the bench:
16. Jamie Smith (Dragons) Services to 'bring back the fringe' campaign.
17. Nick Cummins (W Force) Badger rocked up on the wing, but newcomer to this post - benched for now.
16. Dan Leo
19. Kleeburger
21. Erik & Magnus Lund - Viking genetics beginning to show
22. Richard Haughton

Has his barnet regained its former glory ? still lacking body after its sabbatical ?

Re: HAIR PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL XV
He's not an international but Jamie Smith of the Dragons has a terrible mop. at least he did when he left Ulster.
He could be your 15.

Smith wasn't a particularily good FB. I don't see him standing much of a chance at replacement hooker!

Re: HAIR PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL XV
Szarzewski for the back-up hooker. Far too close to a L'Oreal advert for a front row forward.
Wilkinson for #10? Certainly seems to have gone for the 'flowing locks' look over the last couple of years.
Oh and can I second Percy Montgomery for full back?

Re: HAIR PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL XV
Richard Haughton at 22. Covers the back three and more 'Sideshow Bob' than Kirchner.
Josh Strauss for the beard. That's gotta need some special attention in the hair care stakes. You have Chabal at 8, so maybe slot Strauss in at 6 unless a better candidate is nominated.
Jonathan Poff at 7.

Simple, we move Chabal to lock and have Samo as number 8

Re: HAIR PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL XV
OP reminder.
This is the team from 'Hair'.
So rugby skills not the paramount key to selection.
Botha makes it on his Barnet score.

Duncan Jones in at Loosehead
What about Dan Leo on the bench?
And just for the beard, Adam Cleeburger the blindside from Canada with his epic World Cup facial hair

Sorry to disappoint, but Kleeburger chopped off the face fuzz when he played for London Scottish last season.
Dan Leo lost his afro too.
Dan Leo
Kleeburger
Erik & Magnus Lund are worth a shout though.
