606v2's Favourite Film?
First topic message reminder :
Just to start, this is not intended to interfere with King Beer's very successful 'Best Films Ever' topic, this is a very different concept.
This article is to determine the most popular film among the members of 606v2.
I will request everyone who wants to take part top ten films ever; in order.
After 3 weeks, on the 15th of May, i will count up all the votes and declare the top 10 most popular films on the board.
The scoring system will be very simple.
For each film that gets ranked #1, it will get ten points, #2 nine points, and so on.
I encourage as many people to take part as possible, as the results could be very interesting.
I will start of with a top ten of my own to kick things off:
1. The Shawshank Redemption
2. Scarface
3. Face/Off
4. Pulp Fiction
5. Se7en
6. Lucky Number Slevin
7. The Dark Knight
8. Get Rich or Die Tryin'
9. Rock N Rolla
10. Independence Day.
Near misses: Notorious, Snatch, Layer Cake, The Condemned, Armageddon, Taken, Green Street, Football Factory, Rise of the Footsolider, Die Hard 4.0 and The Departed. Obviously none of these mean anything vote wise; i just felt like putting them down as honourable mentions.
Anyway, i look forward to seeing people's top ten, and the results that will follow.
Everyone has their own opinion, choose wisely, and enjoy!

Re: 606v2's Favourite Film?
These are my top ten films without the letter "E" in the title:
Barton Fink
Fargo
Raising Arizona
Nights Of Cabiria
Oldboy
Talk Radio
Barfly
Pulp Fiction
City Lights
Up
Nights Of Cabiria and Oldboy are obviously hugely controversial choices as they do contains the letter "E" when their original foreign title is used. So as not to antagonise anyone (mainly the 667 Murderer) I offer these as replacements:
Bad Boy Bubby
Four Lions
Barton Fink
Fargo
Raising Arizona
Nights Of Cabiria
Oldboy
Talk Radio
Barfly
Pulp Fiction
City Lights

Is it GOSH? Or West Middlesex Hospital? That's quite well known, I was born there.

Funnily enough Wingrove just got himself a job at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. He's a sniper.

Could have done with Wingrove last night actually. He would have dispersed the drunken Scots who were pestering us in no time.

Favourite films that only contain the first 13 letters at the alphabet:
M
Kill Bill
Amelie
These are the only films on my list of "268 films that I don't hate" that fulfil the criteria so apologies for it not being a top 10.

Not really a doctor. Don't even work in a hospital. Thought it might be funny to say so after I'd said the work was piling up but a bit worried this is going to get onto the Daily Mail site.Mind the windows Tino. wrote:Good god, you must be a clever chap. Ah, I get it now. Too subtle for me. I prefer your "Arwen sticks a tampon up her snatch" brand of comedy.Galted wrote:Not really a doctor. Don't even work in a hospital. Some decent films there dummy-half but your list suffers as follows:
#1 - each film contains an "E"
#2 - none of them contain the letters necessary to spell the word c*nt
#3 - each contains letters from the last 13 of the alphabet
