One of last night's big winners in the transfer market...
Has to be Blackpool. Managed to keep hold of Charlie Adam (despite Spurs being "minutes away" from completing a deal with him when the window shut), and signed Andy Reid and got James Beattie to Bloomfield Road till the end of the season. I hope this gives them fresh impetous to finish the season as strongly as they started it! Come on the 'Pool!

It was a typical Redknapp move. He hates being called a wheeler-dealer but every transfer window he lives up to the name he hates so much. If he wanted Adam that badly why did he wait until the last half hour to put a bid in?
I would agree about Blackpool being winners, so long as Adam keeps his head screwed on and his willingness isn't ruined by the move being blocked.
