All roads lead to Newmarket
With the running of the Whitbread or whatever its called now,i always think that the baton is handed over to the Flat and all the talk now is of the 1000/2000 Guineas. If the Good Lord dropped you £200 for a wager then what would you pick at this stage? Win or ew,all or nothing.
Mine would be;
2000 £50ew CASAMENTO.Group one winner as a two year old, trip and ground no problem and i think he has the perfect run style for the race in that he sits fairly close to the pace and is straightforward in terms of race riding.
1000 £100 MEMORY.Classy two year old form, loves quick ground and has that one thing that i look for in a really quality racehorse...a change of gear.Trip is the only concern,if she truly stays then she must have a massive claim.

£50 e/w Fury 2000gns
£50 e/w Barefoot Lady 1000gns
Can't wait to see Frankel running again.....I really hope he can win on Saturday : )
My efforts to get more interested in the Flat are definitely working,
tho' I work most Saturdays so I don't get to watch much racing, unfortunately.

£100 win Frankel
£50 e/w Barefoot Lady
Frankel is for me one of those few unopposbale horses.
the 1000 guineas I lost interest in a bit after White Moonstone got withdrawn. last time I looked though Barefoot Lady was 25/1 so I agree with Solerina - this has to be a good each way bet.

Re: All roads lead to Newmarket
£198.50 Win Frankel
£1 Misty For Me
50p Double for good measure !!!!!!
Frankel for me too ... Just too impressive in everything he's done to date not to be confident that he'll come out on top again on Saturday.
Misty For Me would be a tentative selection for the 1000. Her win at Longchamp, albeit on Soft ground is top notch form, unlike some in the race, it is clear that stamina is no problem whatsoever, in fact in time, the mile may be too short. Her defeat of Laughing Lashes and Memory in the Moyglare Stud at the Curragh is the performance that impressed me the most, although the big 'IF' as with many of these fillies is if she has trained on.
