Cheers , YI. thumbsup
D'ya reckon you could give us a name change as well. Either Gaelic Games or GAA. Best consult with the lads (and lass) to see what one we'll agree on.

Im not sure if we could change the name of Irish Sports, as the section is for all Irish Sport. We could maybes change the description though and tweak it a bit.

Why can't we all just use google translate YI. No translations adds an air of mystery to it- much more entertaining.

As moderator, Cari would ensure that people post in english only.

Thanks again for having us.
Can we change out mind in the votes?

As independent adjudicator I have put forward that motion.
But so far there is one for, and one against the cancel button on votes.
But if the majority speak and there is damand, then it shall occur.

you are a good man YI. I can see why GW won't allow people to change their votes.
I don't think his family would change their minds anyway.

GW dosen't have a sister. And if I did, how would you plan on persuading her? GW is not opposed to people changing their votes, if the people wish it. You see RB, unlike some, Gaelic-Warrior TD listens to the wishes, desires and needs of the electorate.

However, only two TD's (you and myself) have expressed an opinion on this. Changing anything now without a majority support would be completely undemocratic. We should perhaps assemble the v2 dail, to vote on wether or not to have a vote on the issue, but first vote on how that will be voted for and agree on how to vote for that, and if we do vote on changing votes we should have a vote to see what form the vote wil take.....and then vote on it.

You deny your own sister?

Just because she is handi capable?......shame on you and shame on your election campaign.

I would change her mind using logic.

Gaelic,Google translate doesn't work properly for Irish.

Here's what I said:

Thank you for your kindness.I hope the board is full of people in a few months. The last bit is jut a bit of irrelevant drivel of an Irish tv ad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTNBmFveq2U

You mention the handi-capable more then myself, RB. Perhaps you've got the problem and is even trying to off-load your sister on to myself because of it. Your campaign of slurs is see-through.

BTW lads, I've already said I'm not against vote changing. The people want it, so I'll listen to the electorate's wishes and adjust my manifesto to reflect this. Although I did set a time limit of 10 days to the election, any changes must be done soon.

I was under the impression this section replaced the "Gaelic Games" section on old 606. Surely all other Irish sport would come under the relevant section e.g. Irish rugby under rugby union. GAA needs its own section because it covers unique sports like hurling that aren't featured under general sports elsewhere.

Irish sports are gaelic football, hurling, rounders, handball, road bowls and anything that happened in the Tailteann Games....but they died out in 1932 so I don't think we'll see much posting about them.

The games you mention aren't Irish sports per se. Rather sports that the Irish play.

I am happy enough.

Although the words GAA do act like a honey trap for wums......which i like.

It is an awesome game. Throw a big metal ball between two pubs and then go to the pub at the end. still popular in cork and antrim. Less so in east london where the huge Irish influx to work at the dagenham ford factory kept the games alive until very recently.
