This commentator is very disrespectful to all the great irish players who have played for the lions.

That harsh decision IMO. If you need to look that hard for forward pass then they should let it go.

Wilko has a great asset in being able to kick off either foot extremely well - makes it difficult for defenders looking to tackle/charge down

Really can't stand an aimless dropgoal...
And there should have been support for Copeland's break there.

Correct decision at scrum in contrast to Sky commentary Scott Andrewss clearly slipped his bind onto the arm.

No wonder our scrum is so bad, we're playing a Scarlets centre in the front row!BigTrevsbigmac wrote:Correct decision at scrum in contrast to Sky commentary Scott Williams clearly slipped his bind onto the arm.

Since he has been keeping the Blues in this game so far, I think soThe Saint wrote:Oh dear. Let's see the Blues fans merit Patchell's Wales squad inclusion now.
He wouldn't be trying that with the Welsh forward pack and outside backs.

Re: Cardiff Blues Season Thread (Toulon fall in Cardiff)
How? Despite doing some good stuff he makes far too many errors for a fly-half in every single game. I've seen posts claiming he should be ahead of Tovey, a more experienced 10, in the pecking order. Going by the form of each 10 it's evident that Tovey is playing better and only Blues fans seem to be oblivious to this. And take you for example, you're keen to stick the boot into Filo Paulo for making an error. Last year you were crying out for a big carrier and hitter, and that's exactly what you've got with Paulo. He's just playing as badly as the rest of the team right now, which is no fault of is. Yet if Patchell makes a glaring error you refuse to bat an eye lid. Take the Blue/Pink blinkers off.wales606 wrote:Since he has been keeping the Blues in this game so far, I think soThe Saint wrote:Oh dear. Cardiff needs to get Bourrust on, he is a better scrummager than Andrews.
Hope Jenkins has 80 min in him as Hobbs scrummaging is a sad thing to behold.

Re: Cardiff Blues Season Thread (Toulon fall in Cardiff)
Try getting a reservation at Dorsia now.
I thought it was Shanklin on Sky for a moment - passing similarity in his voice, but whoever it is is pretty rubbish. Shanklin is quite funny pitch-side and in the studio, but has got into a habit of kind of doing Partridge-esque cliches when he's commentating on a match - trying too hard to sound like a "real" commentator! While on the subject, hearing Miles Harrison last night nearly drove me to suicide. I know Stuart Barnes is awful and gets a lot of stick - but Harrison is just as bad, if not worse!

I think Cardiff could have put Pretorious at 6 for this one. Twin open-side won't work against a massive pack.LeinsterFan4life wrote:Toulon dominating the breakdown.

Have Toulon supported there body weight once over the ruck? the ref giving them penalty's like sweets to Toulon at the ruck!
All they have to do is fall over it to seal the ball.
