Well hello there.

The whole team is here this week, with Adam, Gavin, Rich and Chris all on show for you lovely chaps and lasses.

In our first real podcast of 2013 we got back to what we're best at, bullying Adam as he defends TNA like a loved one. This lead on to berating WWE for it's failings before realising we were all huge fans of the show this week.

We preview TNA's Genesis PPV at the weekend, discussing the big matches and who we think will win, and why they should. Is Jeff Hardy to keep his belt? Or will contract wrangles halt his title reign? And are we looking at more title changes across the card, with X Division excitement and a new tag team facing Chavo and Hernandez?

And then onto WWE's first Raw on 2013, which pulled no punches. The Rock and CM Punk face off in a war of words that promises so much of a magnificent feud, and the excitement to Royal Rumble builds. But John Cena made weiner jokes, so it was not all good.

Another great show lads! Glad someone else first thought was The Undertaker when the lights went out during the TLC match!

Enjoyed the Kurt Angle discussion, agree with most of the points!

Where did Adam disappointed to half way through the WWE part?

Listened to this last night - Really enjoyable
Think in the future I'll just listen to this rather than watch the shows, much more entertaining

Liked the Kurt Angle discussion. Are you planning that as a regular feature.

Best ever - Each week you take it in turn for one of you to put forward your best ever and make your case - You then discuss.

You could even invite guest spots to spice things up a little Smile

The guest spots are certainly something we can look at and hope to have one on this coming week!

I think the Angle section was a really good discussion too, was quite on the spur of the moment but certainly we can run with again as there's a few guys we can discuss in that vein.

I just listened to part 3 about Kurt Angle.

You are all talking balls!

Angle was better than just "a really good full back".

Top 3 best in the business at a time when wrestling was in a boom. So wish I was around for part 3!

How was he top three when wrestling was in a boom?
I presume you're referring to the Attitude era.
He was peripheral at best then and only really became a focal point in the Ruthless Aggression era which coincided with a downturn in viewing figures. There's no questioning his wrestling ability, but he just wasnt a tick all the boxes guy.

What exactly doesnt he tick?

Great matches - tick
Great heel - tick
Great face - tick
Tell a story in the ring - tick
Can do serious - tick
Can do comedy - tick

Who is the wrestler that has always been the top guy who people would want back in WWE? Angle.

The last 2 years have seen a Angle who is a shadow of himself but when at his peak, there was no one on the roster who could better on a better show.

Yes, other people had stronger gimmicks and mark out moments but Angle was the solid go to guy (that makes him sound average which is not what I am aiming for).

His gimmick was real (damn real) and he didnt need high spots or lights going out. Intensity all the way. Its true.

Great matches - tick - tick, agree there
Great heel - tick, good heel, great I wouldn't say so
Great face - tick, again good, never quite great for me
Tell a story in the ring - tick, for the most part agree, but whilst despite his wrestling ability don't think he's up there with a Foley or Rock.
Can do serious - tick, can do it yes, still not the best though
Can do comedy - tick, same as above

Does he tick ability to draw?

I'm not saying he was a damn fine wrestler, that's evident, he just wasnt the total package in the upper echelons of wrestlers and would be around the Foley level at best. Foley for example could do everything you used as examples and better in the most parts for most of them. HBK the same, Austin better in pretty much every category.

In 20 years when people talk about the attitude era, I think Kurt will be the forgotten man compared to Rock, HHH, Austin, Kane and Taker!
